As the Minister of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training, I carry the responsibility of protecting, empowering and guiding our young people with the seriousness and integrity the office demands. The issue of drugs, substance abuse and drug peddling is deeply painful and disturbing because it continues to destroy the lives, dreams and futures of many young people across our communities. As a parent, a leader and a Christian, I will never tolerate criminal behaviour or anything that threatens the well-being of our children. It is therefore heartbreaking to witness reckless and false narratives being spread without evidence, especially on matters as sensitive as this. False accusations do not only damage reputations, but they also weaken society’s collective fight against the real dangers affecting our youth. If anyone has credible evidence regarding any wrongdoing, I encourage them to come forward through the proper channels so that the law can take its course. We cannot build our nation on rumours, hatred, malicious attacks and character assassination disguised as public concern. Let us remember that public opinion is not always the truth. Words can destroy families, reputations and lives. As Zimbabweans, let us choose responsibility, honesty, compassion and unity over reckless accusations that divide and harm one another. Together, we can build a stronger nation when we choose responsibility over recklessness, respect over hatred and truth over falsehood.

Some are disabled, abandoned, without proper medication, equipment, financial support, decent housing, land, or dignity after sacrificing for this country. While ordinary war veterans struggle for survival, politically connected individuals are rewarded with vast tracts of land and endless economic opportunities. That silence makes you complicit in the betrayal of the liberation struggle you claim to represent. Zimbabweans watch extravagant displays of wealth while citizens die daily on dangerous roads, in collapsing hospitals, and in communities without ambulances, medicines, equipment, or emergency services. Public hospitals in Harare, Chitungwiza, Bulawayo, and across the provinces are no longer symbols of healthcare and hope for many citizens, they have become places associated with helplessness and loss. That is why many people are no longer moved by performative outrage from political elites. The suffering Zimbabweans face daily has long been ignored, minimised, or politicised by those in power. I have spoken openly about my struggles after losing my father and only brother within three years. Grief changes people differently. Every family, sooner or later, will face death ,whether of a parent, sibling, it is the one visitor every household fears, yet none can escape. After loss, people need support systems. Some need emotional support, others financial support, but above all grief affects the mind, body, and spirit. Some people eventually pull through, while others are permanently broken by it. Death is cruel. Death changes everything. Even after going through the stages of grief, not everyone finds healing, acceptance, or peace. Having walked that path myself, it is not something I would wish upon anyone. I am also constantly reminded that one day it will be my turn to depart, and that same burden of loss will fall upon those I leave behind. Despite understanding grief, I still struggle to sympathise with politicians whose actions and policies continue to destroy lives while they remain unaccountable and insulated from the suffering of ordinary Zimbabweans. Let us build a society where there is no prayer beyond the grave, because help arrived while people were still alive. Monica, repent.

People say I am doing it because I was not paid, but that is wrong. I was being paid well for my work I was doing and had I continued to toe the line I would actually have better chance of being paid for sanctions too. But I did not agree with CAB3 and the creation of a dynasty. I did not agree with the abuse, arrests, beatings and burning of buildings because it could bring back more sanctions. I never fought sanctions for just a few to enjoy at the expense of the rest. So I chose to break ranks and leave that money. I will get it when power changes hands or maybe not. I am cool with that. At least I stand for something, fighting for 16 million people to have sanctions removed on them and I succeeded. What have you done for yourself or anyone else? In fact, were you not the people supporting sanctions to see your political party in power? As you can see when Kuda sent me my message for an explanation, I didn’t even bother explaining myself to him.

We have an immigration crisis in South Africa because of ZANU PF leadership in Zimbabwe and the FRELIMO leadership in Mozambique. To deal with immigration challenges which cost South Africa billions in service delivery we must deal with the root causes. ZANU and FRELIMO. We cannot in any way as South Africa associate with or assist Zanu PF to stay in power by illegitimate means. We cannot support term extensions and dictatorships. It is time to cut all ties with ZANU PF and its dodgy businessmen.

True leadership is not demonstrated through intimidation, abuse of authority or the misuse of influence against others, especially women and the elderly. No grievance, misunderstanding or separation should ever justify the use of power, money or office to suppress, intimidate or humiliate another family. Our children learn more from our conduct than from our words, and I want mine to inherit a legacy founded on respect, integrity, peace and humanity. Peace begins with me. Peace begins with you. Peace begins with all of us.

I witnessed the sentencing of Anymore Zvitsva to 89 years on multiple counts, a moment that brought a measure of relief to survivors who have endured immense pain. I also observed other sensitive matters, including cases involving vulnerable persons, as part of my ongoing efforts to appreciate how our justice system serves all citizens.
