Extending external forgiveness before an apology is given is foolish, but we should always forgive internally. Those who don’t believe in that are simply punishing themselves without realizing it. Remember, forgiveness isn’t a plea to absolve the consequences of one’s actions.

It takes incredible propaganda to convince a population that enforcing border policy is 'racist' or 'cruel'. There's basically no country on Earth where you can just waltz in unannounced and stay there indefinitely.

@ZubyMusic @clayfrith Blocking Ashley St Clair was the only way to get her off my feed. Her account was immune to mute and "not interested". Despite never clicking, engaging or interacting with her , that account just would not go away.

I'm amused by people who think blocking an account on social media equates to censorship or a violation of freedom of speech.

@ZubyMusic It's funny...I was just playing around with some new media/editing tools earlier and made a short video about the power of consistency. Wasn't even going to post it anywhere but what the heck...

I'm pretty sure that if I hadn't been going to the gym regularly for the past 20+ years, I'd be a significantly different (worse) person in all aspects.

This life is fucking amazing. I'm so grateful to be alive, with all of you on this miracle of a planet. Oh and I'm sorry if I fuck things up sometimes. I'm a flawed human. But I promise to do whatever I can to try to add some more understanding and love to this world. After the world leader convos I get attacked intensely by all sides, and many disparate online communities. It has led to some really low points for me mentally. But I don't matter. I'm listening. I'll do better. And I'll try to find the strength to do more of them, always with rigor and backbone, seeking to truly understand. And despite accusations, I do extremely high amounts of research, sometimes 100+ hours for a conversation. Ask many of my previous guests. But when I come to the table, I put all that aside, and make it all about the other person. I don't ever try to sound smart. I know the vastness of my ignorance. But I'm trying. Sometimes I do fuck up and sound like a douche, or do something incredibly cringe. And I hate myself right after. But I'd rather fail and embarrass myself a million times, than not do what my heart says is right. And besides world leaders, historians, CEOs, engineers, etc, this year I want to travel the world and talk to a lot more everyday people on and off the mic. This is something I've wanted to do for a long time. Anyway this is written while on I'm on a 10 mile run, probably procrastinating, since to type I have to walk and not run 🤣 But I did just get stopped by a super smart and kind girl who works at a humanoid robotics company here. And she asked if she can give me a hug to thank me for being me. Sometimes the universe sends you a message that even a dumb dude like me can almost hear. I really needed that today. Thank you for the hug and the kindness 🙏 I'm just hoping she was real and I didn't just imagine that 🤣 Then again if I went full crazy might as well enjoy it! Back to the run. I love you all! ❤️

@lexfridman Your willingness to be wrong in public, to lead with curiosity over ego.. that’s rare and it matters. The world needs more people who’d rather fail trying than stay safe doing nothing. Thank you for that.

Chris Pratt just dropped a bold take on AI: "It's man-made... inherently flawed, and it always will be because it's made by the brokenness of man. It is not God, and it will not replace God." In a 22-second clip, he draws a hard line: AI can't be divine—it's limited by human imperfection, just like us. No playing God here. In an age where AI hype feels almost religious, Pratt reminds us: tech bows to the Creator, not the other way around. Agree, or do you think AI could ever transcend human flaws?

@StevenDOAC I like Wes and I enjoyed your podcast woth him, but I think it’s important for you to know that what he said here about eastern religions isn’t true.

I like and respect @WesleyLHuff, but what he says here about eastern religions and altruism is not true. Altruism is absolutely encouraged. In Buddhism, for example, the ideal figure is the Bodhisattva, who postpones their own final enlightenment to help others escape suffering. I have no problem with him persuading others to adopt Christianity, but expressing falsehoods about other faiths shouldn’t be a part of that.

From what I’ve seen of you in your conversations with others, I can’t imagine you adopting the rigid, exclusivist ideology of mainstream Christianity. However, I can’t imagine you not being spiritual in any sense either. Have you listened to the recorded conversations between Joseph Campbell & Michael Toms? I think Campbell’s views would likely resonate with you.

Bible sales in the United States just hit a 21 year high... So why are more people turning back to religion? To help answer that question, today I’m joined by Christian apologist Wesley Huff. Wesley is a historian who studies the historical reliability of the Bible and the evidence surrounding the life of Jesus. Much of his work focuses on ancient manuscripts and the historical case for Christianity. He spends his time debating sceptics and asking a simple question - what does the historical record actually say? I wanted to speak to Wesley because these are questions I’ve personally wrestled with for years. I grew up in a Christian household. When I was about eighteen, I was pulled into the new atheist movement after reading people like Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris. Since then, I’ve found myself in a different place. Curious and still asking a lot of questions.

@MattWalshBlog I think your definition of consciousness was a good one… “the awareness of self as a self.” And based on your comments about Sid’s toys vs. Andy’s, you believe there are varying degrees of consciousness. What do you think distinguishes the lower levels from the higher ones?

The worst part of this is that now you’ve encouraged me to post more of my philosophical ramblings about things that probably have no actual deeper meaning, and you have no idea how much of that kind of analysis occupies my brain every day. You have no idea what you’ve done.

@ericweinstein I’d be interested in hearing your opinion on McGilchrist’s book “The Master and His Emissary.” I think he’s pinpointed the root of humanity’s current problems as well as anyone and his book often comes to mind when I hear your criticisms.

I love Peter both as a mind and as a friend. But this is dangerously wrong. I am both a word person and a math person. And I am watching our business people become our designated public thinkers. By default.
