Greggs axes front-of-store food and drink fridges in drastic new crackdown on shoplifting The bakery chain has removed self-service fridges from several branches and moved all sandwiches, bottled drinks and other items behind theft-proof counters. Staff will now hand every product to customers instead of allowing open access. Only sugar, napkins and coffee stirrers can still be taken without asking. The pilot scheme is running in stores including West Croydon, Peckham, Whitechapel, Upton Park, Birmingham and Wilford in Nottinghamshire. I would love to meet this mad old bag doing this. I spoke to about 12 'free Palestine' numptys at our local market and gave them some facts and figures they seemed unaware of. A week later, only 3 of them turned up on market day. I'm absolutely convinced the majority of them have no idea what they are actually protesting.

My 10yo was just told by a Somali kid at the park a half a block away from the home we've lived in for 11 years "you shouldn't be here" then tried to shove my child off of the playground toy he was on... while all of their mothers scream talked at each other and sat there doing nothing about their children. Their children run feral at the playground, swearing (I'm talking little kids 12 and under) and bullying children who aren't Somali. My children should be able to play at the playground without this intimidation and being overrun.

The brutal, senseless murders of Bebe, Elsie and Alice marked one of the darkest moments in our country’s history. The report today is truly harrowing and profoundly disturbing. It sets out systematic failures that led to this terrible event. I’ve been overwhelmed by the bravery and determination of their families and while nothing will ever bring these three little girls back, I’m determined to make the fundamental changes needed to keep the public safe. I will do everything I can to honour the memory of Bebe, Elsie, and Alice.
