The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand.

@jlgolson @SeanTrende Jordan, I'm sorry to tell you this but there is no amount of data or facts that can penetrate the information bubble you've trapped yourself in.

@SeanTrende It would help if they were more transparent and shared information, because all of this SHOULD be easily dispensed with if it’s all legit, right?

Guys, the one-in-a-trillion # really is derived from a very specific set of assumptions: All the ballots are deposited at once and we randomly sample from them as we go. That's the assumption underlying all the math. That's also not how ballots work, anywhere. 1/

gotta say, it’s actually remarkable how almost every single tech-right person on here got oneshotted by easily disprovable conspiracy theories on behalf of a grifter reality TV candidate in a city that consistently votes for democrats by 40+ point margins

Gotta be honest, this @ufc event at the White House looks spectacular. This is a big time show. I’m not there, and we all know all the complaints folks had about renovations at and around the White House, etc, but — to be fair — this is some impressive stuff I’m looking at. Props to UFC President @danawhite and the show they’ve put on. It’s Bigtime. Plain and simple!!!

@daveweigel Is this a comment on Trump's fickle nature, or just a guy repeating a trenchant insult of Elon Musk?

No kind of story gets more ink, for less relevance, than the "Trump feud." He's constantly insulting people and casting them out, then letting him back in. It's the reader's (or reporter's) choice to get soyfaced about it or not

“Elon may get more subsidies than any human being in history, by far, and without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa.” “Our country would save a fortune.” Donald J. Trump on Elon Musk, less than a year ago.

We should support the ceasefire deal with Iran. But Obama's JCPOA had the force of international law through the security council and intrusive inspections. It also led to far less in transfer of dollars to the Iranian regime than is being reported. This is a lesson that diplomacy works better than military interventions to change regimes. @kasie

@songsofyoni That means that the Iran deal is definitely the right thing for Trump to do. Congrats to the Iranians for defeating the U.S. and Israel.

I haven't seen Israelis be this united on any single issue in my lifetime. I have yet to see a single tweet, comment, pundit, interview, statement or expression of any kind from anyone in real life or online that thinks the Iran deal is anything but a disaster.

@CargoShortLife @ABC Trump will give them even more money and he'll make Iran look very strong while he's doing it. They're calling it one of the greatest self-owns in the history of American foreign policy.

How do pundits go about guessing what most Americans are like? The most common approach has two steps. First, imagine someone very stupid. Second, imagine their cultural preferences are the opposite of a liberal's. That's it. This is not a very reliable heuristic, it turns out.

Most of those bemoaning what Trump is doing to the “people’s house” are elites who have utter contempt for the “people” (who love motocross and UFC). If you’re going to sniff your nose at the proletariat don’t invoke the sanctity of the “people’s house” - you look ridiculous

The European mind understands it perfectly. This is what imperial decadence looks like: public institutions converted into branded spectacle, civic memory replaced by adrenaline theater, and the People’s House turned into a content backdrop for regime propaganda. The joke is not that Europe cannot comprehend it. The joke is that America no longer recognizes what it is becoming.

You say the most vile things about Muslims and Palestinians. In fact, one of the founding principles you insisted on for your pet project UATX, supposedly the “free speech” university, was anti-Muslim sentiment required for applicants to be accepted. Then, a 19 year old student says something negative about your group, and you use all your power, including calling in the federal government, to destroy his life. Hypocrisy on steroids
Joe Lonsdale@JTLonsdale

If somebody says they don’t want to work for a white person, we should expose them. If they say they don’t want to work for a black person: expose them. Same for saying it about a Jew. But only pushing back on the third will earn you thousands of attacks from these troglodytes.
