@hasumpstuffedup @FOXFOOTY I know it's the rule, it just is a dumb one. And seems weird that it's applied in this instance, but not the same logic with a tackle. No wonder fans get confused.

Adelaide, I love you so much! Heartbroken for not completing the job, but beyond motivated and proud of what we accomplished this year. Please keep the hate to yourself. #36ersNation❤️

@hasumpstuffedup @EmlynBreese When a team is having set shot on goal, why does the umpire make his own teammates clear the protected area?

Q2 12:50 remaining of Dees Suns, Langford having a set shot, Suns player (maybe Walter, didn't see number) encroaches directly through protected area to get to the bench. Umpire just asks him to leave. Did the umpire have an aneurysm? @hasumpstuffedup

Interesting one for the MRO here. The new guidelines read: “Intentional strikes to the body or head will usually be graded as medium impact at a minimum.” Low impact: $ Medium impact: 1 week More on Crunch Time from 11am. @1116sen @AFLNation

End is the beginning of the beginning of the end
@FOXFOOTY Most blatant holding the ball you’ll ever see but even worse for Essendon to assume the umpires would do their job correctly. Always play to the whistle. Never assume umpires are competent EVER

I’m expecting an apology from @ClarkyHeraldSun and anyone else who put the cart before the horse and assumed that’s what his intention was behind the gesture. Maybe before reporting get the facts right and don’t slander a player’s name.
Steve Allen@ScubaStv

Pat Voss tells @TripleMPerth he wasn’t aware of the context of his taunt. He apologised to Harrison Petty and that apology was accepted. He’s remorseful taking the spotlight off @freodockers win over the Demons

"Don't pay it. Walk out onto the ground and refuse to pay it because it's an absolute joke." Rory and Eddie are fired up over the tribunal opting to fine Scott Pendlebury, instead of clearing him entirely. #9FootyClassified | Watch on 9 & 9Now 🖥️

@YannickOda Not long after one paid against freo for a second bloke in the restricted area who clearly wanted to get away but umpire yelled out “stand” that kept him in there

@chapmj2 @NBL The commentators silence in that last minute of play was extraordinary. Brad Rosen and his bias is just as strong. If that last play happened to Sydney they would be calling for heads to roll

@NBL Does he have any comment on the call on Doolittle against cooks that very clearly wasn't a foul? Or the 2 no calls in that last play when the Wildcats definitely got fouled? Or just an objectively correct call that's the one call they've consistently called all season?

Following the removal of him at a club function this Thursday night due to his comments, Carlton on Saturday told Sam Docherty he won't be involved in any official capacity until the R6 Peter Mac game against Collingwood. Docherty sits on the Peter Mac board. @1116sen

Melbourne United’s season is over. Still a wild outcome to not make the playoffs, considering their 9-0 (and 13-2) start to #NBL26. Offensive process tapered away in the second half of the season, like it did in tonight’s play-in game. Talented import trio but didn’t produce consistently. Ili’s lack of durability + a down shooting season from Goulding (who also had injuries, and is 37) may be a catalyst for another change in direction for the franchise. All eyes on whether Dean Vickerman (who’s contracted) seeks an opportunity outside the NBL.

If you’re doing Top 5 Sports Broadcasters in Australian history, you’d have (in no specific order) Benaud, Cometti, Warren and McAvaney. Who goes into 5th? Great pub debate topic!

@LSeffz What a pathetic take. Free kick, red and outside the box. Nothing that happens inside the box is worthy of a free hush in isolation, apart from Cuhna getting a yellow for simulation

Boss: You’re staying late on Thursday, correct? Employee: Yes, I’ve arranged to stay late so I can assist with the launch. Boss: Good. I’m setting up a meeting at 5 p.m. on Friday, but your calendar shows you’re unavailable. Employee: I will be ending work at 2 o’clock on Friday. Boss: What? Why? Employee: Because I work a 40-hour workweek, and since overtime isn’t available, I’ll just take the extra hours that I’m working on Thursday and take them off on Friday so it all evens out. Boss: So you’re telling me you’re not just working late on Thursday because you’re passionate about this project? Employee: I do care about this project, but I will not be donating my personal time to this company for free. Boss: (Shakes head in disbelief).

Labor delivered back to back budget surpluses in their first two years and the LNP delivered zero in a decade. Why would the ALP want Taylor’s advice. The guy is a dead weight and an economic moron.
Angus Taylor MP@AngusTaylorMP

I’ve offered to work with Labor to help find meaningful savings in the budget, that offer was declined. Labor’s addiction to spending your hard earned money leads to higher taxes, higher inflation and higher interest rates for Australians.
