Everyone I disagree with politically is an absurd crackpot.

🚨🇮🇷 Ghalibaf's personal advisor calls Trump's ceasefire extension "a ploy to buy time for a surprise strike" and says "the time for Iran to take the initiative has come." "The losing side cannot dictate terms. The continuation of the siege must be met with a military response." This is the advisor to the man leading Iran's negotiating delegation calling for war. Not the IRGC. Not some anonymous hardliner. If Ghalibaf's own circle is calling the ceasefire a trap and demanding military action, the internal fracture Trump just acknowledged is even deeper than it appeared. The moderates aren't just fighting the IRGC for control of Iran's position. They're fighting their own teams. Trump extended the ceasefire to give Iran time to "come up with a unified proposal." Statements like this are proof of exactly why they need it. Iran's government isn't debating terms with America right now. It's debating with itself whether to keep talking or start shooting.

UK is quietly making overtures towards Europe. They are miles apart about the UK rejoining the EU but the shift in public opinion to rejoining is well known.

BREAKING: The Civil Defence in Lebanon has told Al Jazeera that one person was killed when an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle in Beit Yahoun, despite the ceasefire and Trump’s claim that he prohibited further Israeli attacks. 🔴 LIVE updates: aje.news/8ukt4y

Kids raised in religious homes are less likely to use tobacco, alcohol, and illicit drugs in adolescence, and it's a more predictive factor than parents' substance use, income, education, or race. Some academics don't like this, but the data are the data. aei.org/op-eds/science…
