In a briefing I just held with the foreign ambassadors serving in Israel, I called on their countries to expel Iran's ambassadors from their lands, as the Lebanese Foreign Ministry announced yesterday it would do. The strike on the Diego Garcia base demonstrates that the Iranian regime has consistently lied about the range of its missiles, including during this war. This further shows that the missile range of the Iranian regime threatens not only Israel and the countries of the region, but all of Europe as well.

Today we hosted Ambassadors in Jerusalem to see firsthand where Iranian missiles struck the holy sites, including the Church of the Holy Sepulchre compound. These barbaric terror attacks put sites sacred to billions at risk.

Iran’s proxy Hezbollah launched an unprovoked attack on Israeli civilians. Since March 2, Hezbollah has fired more than 2,500 missiles and drones from Lebanon at Israeli civilians. Until Hezbollah is addressed, Israel will defend its citizens.

Deputy Consul General Maya Avishai joined the Silicon Valley Office of Protocol to mark the launch of the National AI Center in Silicon Valley — a significant milestone highlighting the global leadership and competitive edge of American artificial intelligence. During the event, Deputy Consul General Avishai also had the opportunity to meet U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnick.

Israel calls on UNICEF to speak out and unequivocally condemn the Iranian regime’s deliberate missile attacks on civilians, including children. Iran is launching ballistic missiles armed with illegal cluster munitions, spreading indiscriminate harm - and children are among the victims. So far, 18 children and infants have been wounded by Iranian missiles. A 5-year-old girl is in critical condition. A 10-year-old and a 12-year-old were severely injured. Three siblings, aged 13, 15, and 16 - were killed.

I welcome the decision of the Lebanese Foreign Minister to expel the Iranian ambassador-designate from Lebanon. This is a justified and necessary step against the state responsible for violating Lebanon’s sovereignty, for its indirect occupation through Hezbollah, and for dragging it into war. We call on the Lebanese government to take practical and meaningful measures against Hezbollah, whose representatives still serve as ministers within it.
