Subject: Urgent Humanitarian Concern Regarding Forced Evictions in Nepal This is not Gaza. This is Nepal. I repeat -this is Nepal. To the international humanitarian community, What is happening on the ground right now is deeply painful. Entire families who were already struggling to survive are watching their homes being torn down under heavy security presence. There is no clear sign of proper relocation, no alternative shelter, no plan to protect the people who have the least. Yes, governments have the responsibility to manage public land and river corridors. But that responsibility must never come at the cost of human dignity. The poorest and most vulnerable citizens cannot be pushed into deeper insecurity in the name of order. Rich or poor, every human being deserves the basic right to live, to feel safe, and to survive with dignity. I am urging international human rights bodies, humanitarian agencies, and humanitarians to pay close attention to what is happening. Please engage with the authorities, raise concern, and encourage solutions that are humane, just, and non‑violent. Forced evictions without rehabilitation do not solve problems, they create long‑term social wounds and widen inequality.
