Looks like Twitch custom power-ups are starting to roll out. You'll basically be able to do channel point rewards but for bits! Will do some testing this week 🫡

@Tristi_Mp4 @nuttylmao Well. It‘s Germany though. No chance without the „Finanzamt“ lol. I would love to just enable affiliate and not earn anything but afaik that‘s not possible.

@therealduckie @Simon_Hypixel @LucentAzxiar @Kappische I think there is a big misunderstanding :) I totally agree with your point but I was talking about the players who‘re not reading the blogposts / x posts. Those might not hear a lot about the interaction. Not saying he should stop with communicating. Actually the opposite.

@itscodeline @Simon_Hypixel @LucentAzxiar @Kappische Disagree. I think the players are massively engaged. More so than a lot of games that exist right now. There's just something about this one that sets it apart from the rest. And I think part of that IS the interaction. Players and modders feel heard/appreciated/involved.

One thing game devs should learn is ABS: Always Be Shipping. I learned that working with @notch As Mojang grew and new coders joined the team, there were complaints about old code/shortcuts/“bad” technical decisions. My response was usually: without those decisions, none of us would be here. There probably wouldn’t even be a Minecraft if everything had been done the “correct” way from the start. Games are explorative. You build, test, cut, rewrite, hack things together, and keep moving. A shipped imperfect system beats a perfect system that never makes it into players’ hands. I’ve never worked on a game where you didn’t have to go back and touch old code/systems later anyway.

@Simon_Hypixel @LucentAzxiar @therealduckie @Kappische I generally agree. Though one thing we all have to keep in mind is that a lot of Hytale‘s player‘s probably don‘t follow you on X and also don‘t read the blogposts. That said, they might not notice this active communication and quit.

@therealduckie @Kappische I’m a big fan of this way of thinking, weekly updates and no holding back! As long as you communicate to the players that things are v1 and will evolve, everyone will appreciate. It gives big opportunity for player feedback and suggestions as well.

@YammStick You shouldn‘t. All the people that quit will never reach this dream. But these who actually continue, will reach it sooner or later. Can‘t think of one single creator who‘s done YT continuosly for years without stopping who didn‘t get a bigger audience at some point 😁

I have such a good mod idea, but I can't pursue it without the response from a certain content creator.

@KasaiSora After the video is most of the time just a somewhat essential part. Not saying to not cover paid ones, but I can only agree with not covering those that have a simple functionality but a pricetag on them, as there are alternatives more accessible for the viewers.

@KasaiSora I totally agree with you. Same goes for doing videos about them. If they're paid... well.. maybe if they provide a free copy. But on the other hand, we all love to have an open and accessible plugin community, especially on your channel. So being able to try them out [[...]

I'm not against paid Minecraft plugin. I understand developers need a pay if they want to pour all their time and afford into a project. But for plugins that already have great free alternatives, making it paid makes little sense. I see sooo many devs make simple rtp, home, warp, or nickname plugins, and trying to charge a full €5 or €10 for it. Than they reach out to me, asking for a sponsored video. I won't cover these. Nothing against covering paid resources, if they are worth the price and provide something unique. But these just appear like simple cash grabs. And with the amount of free plugins that have the same or more functionality, it won't do well either. I'm posting this because my email inbox is FILLED with plugins like these.
