The Next.js Adapter API is now stable - the result of over a year of collaboration with Netlify, OpenNext, and other platform partners. We are deeply committed to developers running Next.js on Cloudflare. Looking forward to building our official adapter on this new foundation.

Next.js 16.2 introduces a stable Adapter API, built with Netlify, Cloudflare, OpenNext, AWS, and Google Cloud. But the API is only part of the story. Next.js is used by millions of developers across every major cloud, and making it work well everywhere is on us. Here are our commitments. nextjs.org/nextjs-across-…

Switching from postcss loader to the webpack loader has much less impact that just upgrade to the latest tailwind for the perf improvement Robin did. The loader is something that needs further work to make it easy to integrate in Next.js. There is a simple setup, just configuring the loader for .css files, but I don’t like the DX of it given the amount of tailwind usage in next.js apps. Needs more work 👍
Tim@timneutkens

@_bgwoodruff @stanzillaz @malfaitrobin I intentionally did not share much about it yet because the setup feels like a bit more work right now. Planning to check if we can auto-detect and setup. Best to upgrade the postcss version first 👍

Tailwind CSS 4.2.0 includes a big performance improvement. Measured a 3.8x speed improvement for recompiling (any edit) on our largest application Applies to Next.js, Vite, Webpack, and PostCSS integrations. Kudos @malfaitrobin, great work!
Tim@timneutkens

Investigated TailwindCSS compilation speed and found a 2x speed improvement for large applications with a lot of files/folders. Both on initial compile and changes to code. Fixing it will improve Next.js, Vite, Webpack, and PostCSS integrations. Robin on the Tailwind team is working on a fix! Issue with details: github.com/tailwindlabs/t… Kudos to @malfaitrobin for investigating this further after the report 🐐
