@ripplebrain That’s actually a big debate between Hinduism and Buddhism. Hindu traditions argue that an eternal self (atman/soul) truly exists, while Buddhism teaches that no permanent self exists (anatta) and that realizing this leads to liberation.

This is what I mean when I say that “male loneliness epidemic” is really just a nicer way of saying “women should be forced to have sex with me”. These men being lonely isn’t new. They are typically terrible friends, even with other men. They don’t want women so they’re not lonely, they want women so they have a body to have sex with. They have no intention on changing anything about how they treat and grow relationships. They’ll be as bonded to you are they are with their male friends, which is close to zero.

Once grand infrastructure, no longer able to be sustained for its intended purpose, remade into something new but more mundane. Like those living in the ruins of Roman civilization.

Then again, in really traditional times, grandparents were very often DEAD, or had so many grandchildren that they couldn't have possibly been signficant caretakers for all of them. People just can't accept that mothers (and older daughters) mostly took care of the kids.

I decided to quit veganism on a random date, this guy I liked but didn’t date long made me fish and I just felt like obliging so I did, but when I started telling my friends all my guy friends I started eating fish they all wanted to be the first to take me to X or y place or to have sushi with me and I got treated to the nicest meals for weeks it was fucking fantastic , I love men
