Had a goodbye call with a patient on hospice today. You wouldn’t guess it, but these calls are filled with both tears and laughter. It reminds me what a gift it is to be invited so intimately into other peoples’ lives.

I am a teacher who has witnessed so many teachers get teacher of the year that spew their leftist ideology in their classrooms. However, Conservative teachers get persecuted for a Conservative social media post. This is why we have a left wing teacher problem in this country.

I just wondered off…and now $40 worth of protein needs to be thrown away. I suppose I’ll get that ferritin drawn tomorrow but it’s also possible this is just post surgical fatigue mixed with baseline adhd. Either way, that sucks. And I’m still going to have an okay day.

I had a best friend who recently had a loss in their family. I'm feeding her cats while she is away. Would it be weird if I tidied up her apartment while I'm there? Not that it's dirty! She had to leave in a rush to catch a flight. So like wash the dirty dishes in the sink, wipe down the counters. That type of thing. I feel like if I lost a family member, coming back to a tidy home would take so much weight off my shoulders. Anonymous
