When I built my first house in Abuja, I was earning 250k from one job and another 130k from another job = 380k. I got money to buy land from salary paid after ASUU strike was called off (6 months salary in bulk). From that 380k combined salary I built a well furnished 3 bedroom house. It took me 24 months with an extra loan of 1 million. It took 3 months to save up to buy tiles, some months I buy cement & keep it, another month na only sand the money go reach. But I persevere. Some nights na Akara & akamu me and my wife go drink to bed till we complete everything with fence and gate. When we moved to the house, there's this boldness I had that I can achieve anything I want & nothing is too big for me to achieve. As a man you need that! After few months, an Alhaji knocked on my gate and said he likes the house very beautiful and nice. He asked if I want to sell as he's looking for a house in that area he can do weekends. He asked me for my price I said I am not selling. He disturbed me for months. Bottom line. Don't take advise from online peeps, your reality & their reality are not the same. The house is worth 3x the amount I built it (It's just 4 years ago). There's no amount of interest that would give me 3x the capital in 3 years. Don't take directions from someone who has never been to where you're going or lived your life. Taking advice from strangers is a big risk!

Nothing sweet poor people like owning property..thats why they buy properties in bushes with hope it will appreciate. Instead of placing this 20m in money market & use the interest to rent a good property in a good area..they tie the money down in one bush just to answer landlord

@knowthyselv @Tipsy4000 @Sadiq_Gam3r @Wizarab10 Lmao. I neva supported her not to tell her man. Infact that's the first step. Then second step is to act like nothing happened and leave that house and visit once in a while till after the said project. Even if she must be there, she should stay hidden from the guy

If I, a Black British born to two Yoruba parents, can see the tribalism being spewed about Yoruba's in Naij, dating back to 2009 - on Naijaland, and heightened during Tinubu's presidency, and you, a Yoruba man in Naij cant see it, then Boyyy. I've been matching energy since 2023
Abiodun@bin_gbada

There was life before Tinubu & there definitely will be life after Tinubu. You dull people will sooner or later understand the damage you’ve done to the ethos of our tribe. Sooner or later.

Malami who supervised the atrocity is in the ADC today and I don’t see anyone complaining. He didn’t stop at that, they searched the houses of Judges at night. He banned Twitter too, Malami supervised it and threatened to imprison us, he’s a stakeholder in ADC today.

Do you know how low your IQ could be for you to compare the deaths caused by insurgents and banditry to the deaths orchestrated by a military dictator that was all out killing his political opponents and the elites in the country! Drawing a parallel between Tinubu and Abacha in this manner is the most unintelligent argument anyone can put forward. It’s naive It’s stupid It reeks of ignorance

Brooo this guy hit funds and decided he’s going to put everyone on asap. “Ex-poverty alumni” is funny asfuck 😂😂😂😂 Keep going good Ben 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Technical Ben@TechnicalBben

As an ex-poverty alumni, one of the hardest things to do, was to beg or ask for help, yooo scary, I feel humiliated and ashamed before asking, on their behalf. If they ask me to kiss their feet I will do it. Self esteem drops, I don't wish this on anyone.

@SadiqMaunde Because you know Aston Villa can only cause an upset but cannot win the league, that is how PBAT looks at P.O. No offense just stating the obvious fact. He doesn't see him as a challenge at all, P.O candidacy will only excite but that is how far it will go.

Hausa/Fulani bore this for 8 years whilst President Muhammadu Buhari held sway. It was even worse because it was mostly unchallenged. In that sense, it looks to me like Aso Rock is the constant factor here. Tweets like the one below were the norm. By 2031, it will be the turn of another to be on the receiving end.

Being Yoruba on this app feels like constantly scrolling through insane levels of both covert and overt bigotry directed at you. When did people decide Yoruba people are the “white people of Nigeria,” so supposedly privileged that prejudice toward them is ignored or accepted?

@traskjd @agentK These are all cool technologies that are easier to use than ever tho! The first two especially. It's all basically the same stuff, with various bits automated, all useful in different scenarios. It really is amazing how much easier and more useful all of it's gotten over time!

Kind of glad to have begun coding in the 90s. Skipped Kubernetes. Skipped graphql. Skipped microservices. Skipped react unless absolutely necessary. Got mocked a bunch by “senior devs” who started coding in 2010. Didn’t care, preferred shipping value to customers rather than technical wankery that only bloated teams and slowed delivery. Glad those senior devs have now earned their title and realizing it was dumb too. You can’t replace actual experience.

Where were you when Obj told the people who lost over 1000 persons to the January 27, 2002 Ikeja Bomb blast in Lagos: "I don't have to be here...", that:"if I go inside, and I go into your room what do I do". But you're here convulsing that PBAT only met victims at the airport.
