Stupidity and greed and laziness explain most human behaviour puzzles.

@ProjectLincoln @TheRickWilson @howardlutnick It’s faked. It’s from a Trump Vance press conference in the past. Did you know it was faked and still post this question, or were you gullible? I normally appreciate Lincoln Project but this shakes my confidence in your posts.

@DevinOlsenn Are there any fsd accidents on social media with the v14 software? V13? Do people self censor or are they just not that regular? I mean there must be some accidents…. other cars can always take you out because…. physics. I’d love to see one that a human could avoid.

FSD V14.1.7 | Near Accident This is without a doubt the closest I have come to getting into an accident in a long time. I think had I not taken over and slammed on the brakes we would not have slowed down in time. You can see that FSD does an incredible job reacting to the car (even before I noticed it) and was slowing down, but it was not slowing down enough to stop in time. As soon as I saw the car swerving to the right I worried she was going to bounce back into my lane so that is when I decided to go full on the brakes to stop the car. You can see prior to me taking over we were full regen braking (which is FSD reacting well) but it wasn't using any real brakes at all, and ABS was not active until I took over. Let me know what you all think in the comments. I still think FSD is incredible - the reality is if you watch the video the car saw and reacted to the situation before I did, it just didn't brake as agressively as it needed to in this situation. FSD + an attentive driver is without a doubt in my mind still safer than a normal human driver who is not using FSD.

@dillonloomis I’m an outsider in Australia. I respect your intelligence and decency but I think your views might be misinformed. The dems are the same as the republicans, they have extremist morons in both parties. The vast overwhelming majority do NOT support violence.

This is a sincere question for my Democrat friends: After seeing many people in your party celebrate murder and learning that leaders of your party are fantasizing about their political opponents being killed without any notable condemnation of this behavior...how are you still justifying voting blue?

@cybrtrkguy Nah I think that is a misunderstanding. The driver profile it refers to is those ‘sloth - hurry’ ones. Nice idea though. I’d love to be wrong.

@irespectonline @Scobleizer @Tesla @UnpluggedTesla @Waymo No. Tesla cameras detect where the other drivers are and turn off the led’s that would shine into their eyes. You can see the actively tracking pockets of lower light for the other cars as you drive. I never get flashed by other cars now I drive a Tesla.

A @tesla Robotaxi drove me home tonight. I left my car at @UnpluggedTesla. I hit a pothole very hard and it broke something. Yikes. I was even looking at the road during this and didn’t see it in time. @waymo doesn’t yet come to either place. An empty freeway let me see the software that run the matrix headlights in the new Model Y light up the signs in a much better way than in our Model Y. It cleans the camera in a far different way too. No takeovers in 12 rides. I do my homework before I mouth off on @wholemars’d subscriber-only show on Sundays. The more experience I get in it the more bullish I get.

@techAU Lane bias!!! Wots the go with that? Autopilot stolidly sticks to the very centre even if there is a wobbling great truck beside you. Does FSD move away when possible to the edge of the lane like any sane driver does?

@techAU TACC has plenty of spots where map data about speeds creates a massive sudden slowdown to the consternation of all involved. Eg slowimg to 60 on a 100 highway because there is an underpass with 60 limit below it. Does FSD?

Here's the question: Where would this poem and this painting lead someone to a buried treasure? Pass two friends of octave In December Ride the man of oz To the land near the window There's a road that leads to Dark forest Where white is in color With two maps After circle and square In July and August A path beckons To mica and driftwood Under that Which may be last touched Or first seen standing Look north at the wing And dig To achieve By dauntless and inconquerable Determination Your goal.

@AIDRIVR ASSUMPTION: Steering torque is driver torque. BUT: FSD can apply steering torque. I THINK it was driver but the VDR doesn’t specify if driver or FSD supplied the torque…. as far as I know. Alternative scenario is FSD swerved then disengaged.

@EffettoTesla Yeah but I think people get a bit overhyped about things…. it is almost certainly not responding to hand signals. Let’s celebrate its amazing capabilities without overblowing it. Btw let me say thanks for your excellent work in presenting FSD news. Much appreciated.

@ockham_billy You may be right (of course FSD waits for the last pedestrian to pass to leave, beyond the human signal). Human signals however includes them, particularly in areas with construction sites.

🔥 FSD 12.5.6.3 VS Human signal 😊 • Excellent awareness of human signal behavior at busy crossings • Waited for officer's indication before proceeding $TSLA
Darryn Appleton@DrTeslaFSD

FSD 12.5.6.3 shows excellent awareness of human signal behavior through these busy crossings outside University of Richmond. At the first crossing, FSD really waited until the officer indicated to move on. Very impressive! @Tesla_AI @wholemars @chuckcook

@DrTeslaFSD @Tesla_AI @wholemars @chuckcook I’m as keen to see it do stuff like that as anyone…. but I don’t believe that is FSD responding to hand signals. It’s simply a person in its way (even off to the side slightly is enough) who eventually moves out of the way. Let’s be real.

Is there any interest in me making a video about my newest favorite @Cybertruck mod? I love this thing. Maybe because its new, but most likely because it gives me the visibility I want when performing my UPL and braking with a turn signal on. Works with the tailgate down too.

#CyberCab needs different doors. Those ones are great for ease of access but are unworkable on city streets for a taxi.

@Eric8533467 @ZADDY0x @wholemars @Tesla @Tesla_AI @elonmusk And yet here in Australia with wide roads similar to USA they work great. I hate stoplights. At a roundabout we can generally just wait a few seconds then proceed through. They work fine if the drivers aren’t ignorant arseholes.

@ZADDY0x @wholemars @Tesla @Tesla_AI @elonmusk God I hate roundabouts, they are a stupid and dangerous idea from Europe, where they were too poor to afford stop lights. Plus roundabouts just waste a lot of space.
