Most notable- an operation a couple years back that killed the top ISIS leader. Shane didn’t miss. He took my spot on that operation, and I stayed home. The result was a bad dude dead and the birth of my daughter 9 months later. He pushed me- and I pushed him. The type of relationship that accelerates your life. Shane was killed when the force positioned across the world to help our allies. He left behind a very young family.

Marine Raider Aaron Sekulov is only 35 years old. He has served in the shadows as a critical skills operator, in places across the world, doing what less than 0.1% of the world can or will do.  In January 2026, he was diagnosed with one of the most deadly forms of cancer - Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). AML fast-growing cancer of the blood and bone marrow in which abnormal white blood cells multiply rapidly and crowd out healthy blood-forming cells. The treatment for AML is to literally wipe out all leukemia cells in the bone marrow through chemotherapy. Because chemotherapy does not discriminate, it will kill all "protective" cells, placing Aaron at an incredibly high risk for fungal, bacterial, and viral infections, making this phase of treatment one of the most dangerous. Once the leukemia cells are destroyed, Aaron will be given a bone marrow / stem cell transplant from a healthy donor (if you haven't registered yet to swab for Aaron, you can do so here: Swab for Aaron!) While Aaron has coverage through TRICARE as he is still currently serving as a Marine Corps reservist, many things targeted towards a successful, clean, infection-free lifestyle is not. Here are some of the needs for Aaron and where exactly these funds will be used (invoices and receipts produced for reimbursement): - $1,600 / month for apartment minutes from U of M Cancer Center for 8 months = $12,800 - $825 to clean air ducts in home to reduce mold / infection exposures (at least quarterly) = $1,650 - $2,300 for central air filter upgrade (HEPA quality) = $2,300 - $260 for upholstered furniture cleaning (at least quarterly) = $520 - $1,700 for rower/assault bike combo for home during quarantine period = $1,700 - $1,500 incline-capable treadmill for home during quarantine period = $1,500 - $10,656 for Sun Home Red light & infrared Sauna for quarantine period detox. = $10,656 - $500+/- for dietary-restricted foods (Neutropenic diet) while in treatment / quarantine (as live plants, fresh fruit, veggies carry extreme risks, Aarons diet needs to be high in protein and calories) = $3,000 - $1,000 for travel expenses / gas to-and-from treatment for Kelley and Aaron = $1,000 Totaling approximately $34,126 - all additional funds will be used for Aaron and Kelley's needs throughout his treatment and recovery. Alabama airman and father of 3, Major Alex Klinner, identified as one of the six Americans who was killed when a KC-135 crashed in Iraq. Klinner was a father to a two-and-a-half-year-old and seven-month-old twins. His wife, Libby, posted the following on Instagram: “On March 12, our world shattered. Alex and his crew were on the plane that crashed in Iraq. I'm devastated to lose the best person I know, the person that made everything more fun, my best friend. But even more so, my heart is broken for our three kids who will grow up not knowing him. They won't get to see firsthand the way he would jump up to help in any way he could. They won't see how goofy and funny he was. They won't witness his selflessness, the way he thought about everyone else before himself. They won't get to feel the deep love he had for them. Closed our 13th search for the year so far, compared to less than five last year. Companies are everything from PE-backed home services platforms to a search fund acquired company needing a killer sales dude. We've got at least another 20 open right now, just trying to crank it along. Entrepreneurship has a lot of ups, downs, hits and misses. Sometimes I just got to remind myself that my job is literally talking to some of the best dudes out there.
