@Sargon_of_Akkad We all know why. Retards you hear in a pub bemoaning 'not being taught about money' when they never went to school anyway and live on the poverty line with comfort.

@henchgirlsylva They deploy a base, only for the Spirit of Fire to deploy one at the other end of a level, you have to play through an escalating war between the two.

A thing I’d like to see next Halo are the Banished utilizing their ability to drop fortifications like nobody else can. I want to have a set-piece where they rapidly claim an area right before our eyes, dropping in bases and troops and defenses. I wanna watch their shit deploy!!!

Yeah that's not how it works. The licensing fee only requires further payment to maintain the license when renewed. Same with other kaiju Legendary signs on for in the contract. Kong got more screen time because Adam Wingard doesn't like Godzilla and doesn't know how to write him. He admitted as much himself.
DinoKaiju 🇵🇷@DinoKaiju1227

I think a reminder to understand, at least to me, is this... Monsterverse Godzilla, despite being from Legendary, is still owned by Toho. Toho can let them use him for as long as possible, but his screentime could cost lots of money, which would explain why Kong has more.

There needs to be a discussion about what Games Workshop wanted to do with Primaris Marines. They introduced a whole new class of Space Marines that are supposed to be "better." They had objectively better stats and wargear on tabletop. In the lore they were just better. Bigger, stronger, free of gene flaws and mutations. They immediately walk back most of the things that made them "better," like the lack of Wulfen or Black Rage. Primaris from mutation suffering chapters suffered the same mutations. This was before 8th edition was even half over. In 9th they removed most the statline differences. Then in 10th they remove the distinction between Primaris and Firstborn in terms of rules entirely, changing it to armor type. We also learned Primaris can wear Terminator armor. Now in 11th, we're back to armor mixing. There's effectively no distinction anymore, in terms of rules or lore. It's not that one replaced the other, it's that Games Workshop just acts like Mark X Tacticus was just an armor type. Primaris basically only get mentioned in WarCom articles. The last major 40k entry to kind of dwell on it was Space Marine 2 and barely at that. Note that Space Marine 2 would have been written around the time of late 8th edition or early 9th, even if it came out in 10th. The question people should be asking is, "What was the point?" We're back to square one, like they never happened.

We obsess over reducing ourselves to the smallest possible icon because of modern branding conventions and humanity is much more than that. We're not a corporation. Humanity's flag should not be meek or simple. A minimalist icon is designed to be stamped into metal or carved in stone or printed in black and white like we're afraid our race will go extinct and only the icon will remain. A banner defined by the end of the people who carry it exudes weakness. You can't lead the charge of humanity like that. It's also worth clarifying that the flag isn't a brand for humanity. In a sense they're similar, but it's not like humanity will be beholden to just a single symbol forever. Just look at Christianity: the main symbol is visually simple, the Cross, but there's many more and even the Vatican has a flag. If we want to go put handprints in caves on Mars or on a planet in Alpha Centauri, that's awesome and I wholeheartedly agree. But it's still a symbol that humans were here and now they aren't, and I don't think that makes for a good flag. A flag says "we are here and we are thriving". A maximalist icon is extravagant and expensive, only carried by those who can defend and maintain it. Elaborate symbols require strength and vigor, and that is the spirit of the people who will spread amongst the stars. To spread at all is to be bold and explosive and we should wear that proudly. Having "money sinks" like elaborate symbols, rituals, this is a flex, it not only proves to your own people that you are confident but also able to support "unnecessary" things. The psychological effects on your own people cannot be understated. Ritual, including elaborate monuments, flags, and dress, build the culture of a people. It binds us together. Do we want to be dour, simple people only united by a muddy handprint? I like to think we're more than that and I hope you do too. There's something to be said about looking back and honoring our past, and the oldest human art being handprints is a compelling symbol. But we ARE human and we see our hands every time we look down; to claim the stars we need to look upwards and look forwards. A handprint is a biological accident of nature, albeit an important one, but still only incidentally how humans ended up. Our flag is our intentional mark on this universe, how we choose to define ourselves. At the very least the flag needs to be complicated enough that it requires effort to copy. A detailed flag says to every human underneath it that we are not afraid to expend great effort and perfect every detail. That's the humanity who will and who we want to seed the stars. Naturally then, flag maximalism would be best but in the spirit of conciliation a middle ground is acceptable. The common examples of the flags of California, Saudi Arabia, Wales, or the Vatican are good examples of the minimum level of detail, but more would be better.

It's scary that there's a real chance humanity picks a terrible flag like this for their conquest of space. Every leap forward humanity has made has been due to their explosive energy and the flag should represent that
