Episode drops Monday :) Also I think it’s important to note Allie believes people (like me and my family) who reject her church’s 4th century creedal formulation of God will be sent to suffer horribly for all eternity. On the other hand Latter-day Saints believe good Christians like Allie will be received into a kingdom of glory in one of Gods many mansions akin to the kind of heaven she already envisions. When speaking to Protestant audiences in Washington in 1840 Joseph taught that "all who would follow the precepts of the Bible, whether Mormon or not, would assuredly be saved."

I had a lively conversation with Jacob Hansen about mormonism, the Trinity, salvation, and if Humans, Angels, and God are all the same species. Who is eligible for heaven? Is God all-knowing? Can believers become the gods of their own universe? Nothing is off the table. Episode drops Monday. Stay tuned!

We can boil it down to the differences between the Mormon-gospel to the Biblical-gospel message to determine if Mormons are aligned with Jesus Christ, or merely one of myriad of false teachers the church has contended against since its inception. ✝️👇🙏🕊️👇✝️ youtu.be/pQi2-13y6EE?si…

This is a sobering reminder of how deep the fractures have become, and it should grieve anyone who values human life and truth. Yet even in the midst of chaos, we are not left to despair. God remains sovereign. His purposes are not thwarted. He will ultimately bring justice and restoration to this broken world. Keep the hope. Contend for the faith. Love God with all that’s in you, and love your neighbor as yourself. #whitehouse #correspondentsdinner

@AggieLarry @JesusSavesUs777 If I’m misinformed, you’ll have to make your case according to God’s Word. But you won’t be able to do that. That’s what the video shows my friend. I’ve made my case. Watch it. Then make yours. If you can.

When I ponder God’s transcendence, which happened the other day when looking at one of those images of deep space taken by a satellite, a mixture of awe, fear, and amazement coalesced. The power of God is supreme in ways we can’t grasp, and yet, He dwelt among us and desires us to know Him. Humbling no doubt.

Perhaps you’ve heard people refer to God as “transcendent.” But what does this really mean? And how does it affect our daily lives? Click to read the full article. gotquestions.org/God-transcende…

Many assume their family and friends understand what the gospel is. But that’s not a safe assumption. Make sure you know it. Make sure the people you love know it. I put together a short video walking through what the Bible actually says the gospel is: Watch Here👇📺 youtu.be/rGNyH6Jgitc?si… #Messiah #Gospel #Jesus #Exegesis #Theology

@BenAubrey04 trying to do a drive-by retort and then block my reply? That's not cool. Unless I was blocked by @ColtonBruc3, it's not exactly clear on my end. Still not cool. Anyway, your (@BenAubrey04) usage of John 6:38, 40; John 16:5; and John 16:28 is misused. They actually distinguish the Father and the Son, but they do not prove “three gods” or “one in purpose only.” The Bible teaches both personal distinction and full deity. The Son is sent by the Father, yet is also called God (John 1:1; Hebrews 1:8). Think about this, it's huge. The leadership of Mormonism now permits its members to use newer versions of the Bible that rely on older transcripts that formed the Bible, such as the ESV and NRSV. These versions are easier to understand and are more accurate to the original source material. Continuing, Jesus shares the divine name (John 8:58), and possesses the fullness of deity (Colossians 2:9). So yes, distinct persons, but your conclusion fails: distinction is not denial of shared divine nature. #mormonism #Christianity #Jesus #exegesis #theology

Projection and a strawman… -John 1:1: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” -John 8:58: Jesus says, “Before Abraham was, I Am”… -John 20:28: “My Lord and my God!” -Hebrews 1:8: God the Father addresses the Son: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever.” -Romans 9:5: “…from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised!” -Titus 2:13: “…our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.” -Colossians 2:9: “For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form.” -Philippians 2:6: Jesus was “in very nature God.” -Isaiah 9:6 (applied to the Messiah): “Mighty God, Everlasting Father.” The Bible never uses the word “Trinity,” but neither does it use “Godhead” in the modern LDS sense of three gods. It hammers monotheism. Relentlessly. Your post is pulling a classic bait-and-switch, friend. Christianity contends the Biblical position that Jesus is eternally fully God (uncreated, infinite, the same essence as the Father.) One God, not three. No progression to godhood. No “elder brother” to humans or spirit siblings with Lucifer. No Heavenly Mother producing spirit babies. Jesus’s divinity is not derived or contingent. Mormon’s Jesus however is “a God” (or “God” in a functional/title sense), the firstborn spirit son of Heavenly Father and a Heavenly Mother. He progressed to godhood, has a spirit brother (Satan), people can become gods like Him (“as man is, God once was”). The Godhead is three separate gods united in purpose, not one God in three persons. Joseph Smith’s “revelations” (D&C, Pearl of Great Price) and sermons espouse the exotic elements that make Mormonism incompatible with the Bible’s monotheism. If the BoM is supposed to be “the most correct book” clarifying the Bible, why does it require modern prophets to reinterpret its own Father/Son language to fit an ever evolving doctrine? The Bible doesn’t need the BoM’s “clarification,”… especially when that “clarification” projects and slips in a different God and gods.

The Book of Mormon is the only scripture that plainly and straightforwardly states in multiple places that Jesus is God. Trinitarians wish the Bible was as clear and straightforward in its declaration of Jesus being God as the Book of Mormon!

There’s only 1 priest worth having. Many people assume you need someone to stand between you and God. That was true… once. But then something happened. When Jesus died, the veil in the temple tore (Mark 15:38). The barrier between God and man wasn’t improved… it was removed. The book of Hebrews says Jesus is our great high priest (Hebrews 4:14). Not symbolic. Not temporary. Not replaceable. Which means: You don’t need a system. You don’t need a ritual. You don’t need another mediator. You need Christ. So why do we keep trying to rebuild what God already tore down?

Mormon proponents deflect w/ "prophets aren't infallible" or "every religion evolves." Reality: LDS prophets claim the living prophet always takes precedence. They've reversed "eternal" doctrines multiple times: • D&C 132: Plural marriage = "everlasting covenant," required for exaltation. 1890: Manifesto ends it (due to U.S. law). Now: monogamy is the standard, unless you're FLDS of course. • 1852–1978: Priesthood/temple ban for Black members = doctrine, tied to Cain/Ham curses & pre-mortal valiance. 1978: New revelation lifts it. Today: past racist "theories" officially disavowed. • Bonus flips: Adam-God, blood atonement, shifting views on God's nature (early BoM sounds almost Trinitarian; later = "God was once a man," plurality of gods). These weren't "clarifications." They were 180° reversals on what was taught as divine, binding truth... often after legal or social pressure. Biblical prophets? They operated under fixed prior revelation they could not contradict (Deut 13). No open canon where the current guy overrides scripture. SocialMedia LDS proponents: equating progressive revelation in the Bible w/ this is apples-to-oranges cope. One guards against false prophets. The other lets the living prophet rewrite "eternal" truth on demand. If the "restored" church can't even keep its own "eternal" doctrines straight, what exactly needs restoring? That's not divine consistency, it's manipulation. It's distortion of the truth. #Mormonism #ldsconf #lds

The people in charge don't want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus. Islam reveres Him as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes He performed miracles, and states that He will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist. That's why Donald Trump's painting depicting himself as the Son of God offended the president of Iran. It was an attack on his religion as well as Christianity. Today's Morning Note newsletter covers Masoud Pezeshkian's condemnation of Trump's “desecration of Jesus,” the Iran War's gutting effects on America's housing market, Colombia's plan to murder Pablo Escobar's hippopotami, and more.
