@travasu008 @JoeInOregon_87 So you would have done exactly what the Pac tried to do... got it. Utah St is statistically one of the better schools in the entire MWC. And has been for a handful of years. Texas St is essentially a promising kid who hasn't had the resources to thrive yet. Why not?

I like SD and I want him to remain our coach while he proves himself and earns his opportunity but this seem hasty and poorly timed. If things don’t work out we will be headed for another Avalos type scenario in a program where budgets are already stretched tight. Just think he should have had to earn it first after a year that was only successful because of Jeanty and to a certain extent Koetter which was immediately followed by one of the worst seasons in modern Boise State history once he didn’t have either of them which was coupled with several head scratching decisions when it came to player and coaching management. At Boise State, everything should be 100% merit based and 100% earned and it just doesn’t feel like that has occurred here. Hoping he earns this on the back-end but regardless of the results after the fact, there isn’t anything outside of recruiting that justifies this move in the present.

Avoid having to add Tx st & another G5 school (TBD) Also USU 8 losing seasons in last 10 🤣

You also eliminate Group B as competition by adding 2 more teams, & you forgo 6 years of your salary in fees to be in not the best combo

Have I ever mentioned I'd love doing this? Remember our History! Okay this is for the diehards out there and this is part one of a two-part "Remember our History". Since beginning to play the sport Air Force Football @AF_Football has gone to 30 football post-regular season Bowl games. During that period our first bowl win was the 1982 Hall of Fame Classic (36-28 over Vanderbilt). The most appearances have been in the Armed Forces Bowl (7 times) and Liberty Bowl (4 times). Two of our biggest wins for me ( and I think it surprised the nation) were: -Texas 1985 Bluebonnet Bowl -Ohio 1990 Liberty Bowl. So Part-One: The first half of our Bowl wins, 15 games, came in a span of 40 years of teams between 1958 - 1998. Of course the most surprising, actually played on January 1st 1959, was our Cotton Bowl tie with TCU. It took me a minute or two but here are video recaps of every single one of those games.
