Hoof ball has been a disaster but Burton is leaving massive holes down the middle. Seems to be the right sort of game for Wheatley down the middle with Hump on the left. #bcafc

If any of the uber intelligent I know football city fans let me know just what Wheatley has done so far to make him the second coming of Bobby Campbell that would be great. #bcafc

A member of the #STLBlues 2019 Stanley Cup team told Doug Armstrong: “Look, if you think you’re going to win with a core of Thomas, Kyrou, Buchnevich, you’re crazy.”

@Thecityvent I’ve been to Bradford twice now from the US and can confirm. Rather spend time in Bradford than 80% of London.

Ahh yes, the 'least we don't live in Bradford' insult comes out from someone from a London suburb.... Just a few photos of our 'dump' of a city...

@Thecityvent We lost 16 players in the summer & replaced them with mainly rubbish. Last year's team would have slaughtered you, but alas this year's team is heading down One good thing however, we don't live in Bradford, so not everything's bad 😁

@twelcher15 I mean… they were the cup favorites Covid year before the league shut down and even 2 years later were Kadri running binnington away from another cup. It wasn’t for 4 years that they declined pretty suddenly and unexpectedly

Can we all agree that if the #stblues ever win the Stanley Cup again maybe they shouldn’t immediately blow that team up right after?

@wyshynski Dude I’m a long time listener who’s endured your Puck Soup exit but this isn’t even a hockey account anymore. It’s probably just me and I’m probably shouting into the void but is what it is.

I put together my Presidential Tier Ranking. These are based on policy alone, not character. Only Washington belongs in S tier. A lot of people also put Lincoln there, but I disagree with how he handled certain things, especially early on in his term (e.g., the suspension of habeas corpus). I rated Trump based on his first term performance, not the current one since it is ongoing. I did my best to eliminate recency bias.

Dear @MLS, I paid several thousand dollars to attend LAFC vs Inter Miami at the LA Coliseum under the reasonable assumption that “the greatest player of all time” would, at minimum, be present on the field. Lionel Messi was not. He ghosted. I hereby request a full refund.

@TheHardRise @janmodaal420 Even if Iran is in the top 10%, the gap between even the top 1% and the US is astronomical. People don’t grasp the magnitude of US air and sea superiority. The problem with Iran drawing blood first is it unshackles US home support and it becomes Armageddon for Iran.

@janmodaal420 🇮🇷's size is 150% of the combined size of Afghanistan and Iraq. Militarily, they are in the top 10% of all countries, having a wide-range of attacking options (which may include nuclear ones), the closer of the Hormuz Strait would be catastrophic for global markets. Isn't easy.

From Iran's standpoint, I think this is probably a correct assessment. Inflicting significant American casualties would provoke catastrophic short-term consequences. But, if the regime survives, it would severely erode public support for the U.S. presence in the Middle East.
Ali Vaez@AliVaez

Told @AP: The Iranians have now come to the conclusion that the only way that they can stop this cycle of war is to draw blood and to inflict significant harm on the U.S. and Israel, even if that comes at a very high price for themselves. apnews.com/article/us-mil…

Today, the Supreme Court decided that Congress, despite giving the president the ability to "regulate imports", didn't actually mean it. This is lawlessness from the Court, plain and simple. And its only effect will be to make it harder for the president to protect American industries and supply chain resiliency. President Trump has a wide range of other tariff powers and he will use them to defend American workers and advance this administration’s trade priorities.

@TWilsonMD @maildude420 @HustleBitch_ Is your first move to initially IVUS your decompensated STEMIs, do a direct balloon first, or something different like mechanically offloading LV ? The first intervention decision is fascinating to me.

Yes I’m glad the MD did use the radial artery. In 2018 IVUS/OCT use was 10% at best. Now it’s a class 1a indication. I’ve used IVI at a rate >95% since 2021. Avg rate in US is 20-25% now. You should be on aggressive medical therapy (secondary prevention), likely a pcsk9- like Repatha.

🚨 HE WENT TO BED - THEN SPENT ALL NIGHT TRYING TO SAVE A PARALYZED STRANGER A neurosurgeon turns on the camera at 9:30 PM. He was already in bed. Half asleep. Then the call comes in. A patient just arrived paralyzed at a Level One trauma center. Coffee. Uber. Silence. By 11:30 PM, he’s making the incision. The case drags on for five straight hours. One wrong move and the damage is permanent. At 6:00 AM, he walks out exhausted. The surgery worked. The patient is doing well. But the night isn’t over. He’s still on call. Still writing notes in the back of an Uber. Still expected to function like nothing happened. Just a man trading his night so someone else gets a lifetime. While you slept… this happened. Would you trust your life to someone running on zero sleep - or does this reveal how broken the system really is?
