@refsupportuk Wrong. Player must be in front of the ball when it is played FORWARDS. If it is played back you cannot be offside. Any winger getting to the byline would be a complete waste of time.

@refsupportuk You can’t be offside from a corner. If you could, then defending teams would line up on the edge of the box or near the half way line to prevent an easier shot at goal. Yes, that’s taking it to the extreme but also likely what would happen. Either way, poor officiating this time.

@Sheena2907 That's awful to hear. I've had my fair share of student deaths, not something we're ever prepared for.

The worst day was year 13 results 2013. One of my tutees took his dad's motorbike out and never made it home. He was the most awesome person and brightened my mornings every day for the 5 years he was in my form.

4 years ago today, the second worst day of my teaching career, it was A level results 2020. Looking back I'm still angry. What those students went through that day was cruel and avoidable and many of them are still living with the repercussions

@BernadetteEakin @Mr_S_Cains The first 4 Ofsted inspections that I experienced were all in the final term. It's awful. We even had one on Sports Day.

@adamboxer1 I hated all of the assignments. I hadn't written a proper essay since scraping my GCSE English.

OPINION The standard practice of having teacher trainees do some kind of in class or whole-school action-research/innovation/project as part of their PGCE is a super poor use of their time. It induces stress, distracts from more important things and fundamentally misunderstands how people get good at teaching.

@ECR_Maths Very few of them require Further Maths

Does anyone know of a list (or a way to filter search results) of UK universities that offer a Maths degree course, where further maths is not a requirement? Also, where the grade criteria are slightly lower than the typical A*AA type of offer, for the "mid-cohort" students?
