@NinerStats Not trying to be an ass here, but if all he brings is his rush attack, and can’t help in the passing game or pass pro (CMC is elite at all 3) how does he compliment CMC? Wouldn’t we want to try and find a guy who contributes to all 3 areas? I feel like James is better overall

#49ers have done a lot of work on Arkansas RB Mike Washington Jr, per Matt Barrows
Washington Jr, who will be 23 in July, is a powerful runner with downhill speed and ran a 4.33 40 yard dash
He doesn’t offer much in the receiving game or in pass protection but would be a complement to Christian McCaffrey
If SF wanted him they would likely have to take him in the 2nd round as he won’t be available with their first pick in the 4th round

@yoxics He doesn’t care and neither do the people who enjoy watching him. I thought marathon was a bore to watch and feel the same about apex and CS2 even. The rust server has been amazing.

If the Arizona #Cardinals wanted to trade up with the #49ers at 27 for Alabama QB Ty Simpson, would you move back to 34?

The more prospects I study the more I am convicted the 49ers need to acquire more day 2 picks
So much so that I am becoming more and more open to a trade back at 27 into 30’s
There are still a good amount of holes to fill and not enough picks but a great pool of players to pick from on day 2

Illinois EDGE Gabe Jacas (potential top-50 pick) is working out for NFL teams today. A right hamstring issue kept him from testing at the Combine or pro day. At 261 pounds today, he ran a 4.69 40 with a 1.59 10.

Akheem Mesidor is 25 and plays like he’s 25. About as pro ready as it gets both rushing the passer and against the run. The #49ers should consider themselves lucky if he falls to 27. Immediate impact at a position of need.

- He said he can't spend 100 percent of his time on the 49ers. Would Al Davis or Jerry Jones ever say that?
- He didn't know about the Christian Kirk signing until days later because he was overseas watching soccer
- Mentioned Leeds United multiple times. Niner fans don't care about Leeds. They care about the 49ers!

@AJGullotta @LombardiHimself Had to look up the rushing, and I see he got carries early at NC State, so you are right there. I should have clarified tho: I meant blocking. I know he’s willing, but from what I’ve seen, a lot of scouting reports label his blocking ability as a concern.

He is incredibly physical. He literally took carries out of shotgun, pistol, wildcat *between the tackles* as a freshman. They gave him 40 carries. He consistently broke tackles and carried defenders on his back. The hands were absolutely a big problem in college for sure. But that can be improved.

there's no chance they are getting a 3rd or 4th. holding Aiyuk hostage while having a friend drag his name through the mud just makes them look small. they are very unlikely to get anything out of it
