Your best friend for Claude code, is Claude. Run Claude code in terminal instead of desktop, and if you have questions just ask Claude. My biggest suggestion, get the superpowers plugin/skill, the agents skill (from anthropic), run Claude code in plan mode, ultrathink, and have Claude draw up your plans. I’ve still never written a single line of code.

I have officially gone down the Claude rabbit hole, and it's everything people have said it is and some. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. 🇺🇸

@AlexFinn Openclaw is by no means dead, there just about isn’t anything that can’t be done inside anthropics ecosystem now that openclaw could do. With zero of the security concerns. Also, it’s just easier to use, at least for me.

Posting "OpenClaw is dead" is the biggest self own in history It proves you are larping as a tech guy Every person who has used OpenClaw properly knows it's the most powerful software ever released Yes it's complicated, but when used correctly it saves you hours a day and gives you unlimited leverage Saying you think it sucks or it's dead is just you saying you can't figure it out so you're blaming everyone else Also there has never been a tool in history that has died and people went on Twitter to announce its death Dead tools die in silence. When n8n died nobody went on X and said n8n is dead. They just stopped using it and moved onto the next tool The fact that every other post and youtube video is "openclaw is dead" proves OpenClaw is still alive Half of the 'AI influencers' who said OpenClaw is stupid have already reversed course. The other half I promise you will reverse course over the next year when they realize the tools they've been shilling you are now completely irrelevant. Jensen Huang, literally the smartest human being on earth right now has said OpenClaw is the most important software in history. The faster you get on board, the faster you'll change your life.

After this last week, I just can’t see why anyone would go openclaw vs Claude cowork. I’m seriously considering just moving to cowork dispatch (vs desktop/mobile) almost exclusively now that cowork has projects. Obsidian/claude code is so much more centered and powerful. For browser tasks? Not even close. Drop a link, do this, dispatch just “does it”. I run everything in persistent sessions with cookies and saved browser sessions in vercel agent browser and browser use. It’s not even fair. 10 Claude code instances in tmux, all setup in their own root project directory, or obsidian vault folder. Claude, attach to “named session” and do “this task”. One single point one contact, and ten super agents.

I've had a lot of friends ask me about the best way to get started with OpenClaw. Here's a short summary of what I tell them. 1. Read the official Security Docs - if you don't understand the security docs, ask for help, or maybe don't use OpenClaw yet. 100% of the people I know who have had security issues either didn't read the security docs or didn't understand them. 2. Don't install OpenClaw on your existing computer - your Apple ID, email, etc. is not something you want OpenClaw to have access to now. In the future if you feel really comfortable with it, and really understand security, then one-by-one you could add some of your personal apps in, but to start with start fresh. 3. By start fresh I mean - new computer, new Apple ID, new email. You're going to be learning something very powerful, that can also cause a lot of chaos. You want the chaos to be controlled chaos, not chaos with your actual work or personal life. 4. Start small - don't try to suddenly have the perfect AI assistant that runs your life. Start with one super simple task, something that does actually take you time, but that if something goes wrong, there's almost no impact. 5. Run security audits - even if you think you've setup security correctly, you probably missed some things. Run audits, really make sure you have security figured out. If going super deep with security isn't your jam, that's fine, just don't ever give OpenClaw access to your email and calendar then, keep it simple. Last not not least, donate to @steipete on Github if you use and like OpenClaw. I know a lot of people who love OpenClaw and have really gone far with it. I always ask them - are your sponsoring Peter? They rarely even know that they can, but pretty much everyone does once I tell them. A lot of people say - you don't need a local machine, just use a $5/mo VPS. And that's fine, but you're adding another layer of security you have to know about. If you're comfortable running a VPS and have been doing it for years, awesome. Just make sure you also remember to go through the process of tightening down your VPS security. If you've never run a VPS before, honestly, I don't think the combo of OpenClaw + your first time using a VPS is a good move, start with a totally fresh clean Mac Mini. Okay, that's it. I keep repeating this over and over to friends, and now it's becoming a daily thing so I think I'll just send them this post. And that's it. I've got nothing to sell you, no special link to share, or course or service to sign up to. I'm just an engineer who loves OpenClaw. Fin.

Based on my unscientific observation as a user of Claude (Max plan), I think Anthropic’s growth is outpacing its ability to procure inference compute. There are new speed bumps and longer response times lately. Anyone else seeing this?

Is OpenClaw only big because people love saying their 8 agents worked for them while they slept or is there actually some there there?

Bro, you don’t even know. Since yesterday u wrote some skills, now I just drop a file in inbox, schedule task picks it up and it gets dealt with per whatever that files skill dictates. Could be coding, could be whatever. If it’s emergency I just have dispatch manually do it. The shit all just works. Every time.

This is “I’m going to move to local models today” energy, not “here’s what I built” energy. Skip it.
Alex Finn@AlexFinn

My mind is so blown I have my own personal AI research lab running 24/7/365 I'm just one dude with an entire team of AI agents training models and doing R&D I think this is the biggest opportunity right now: taking Karpathy's Autoresearch framework and applying it to everything I have a team of AI agents running experiments all day and night on system prompts, local models, and LoRAs. I also have them doing R&D on my new project. They spend all day discussing my app, coming up with new ideas, then debating eachother An entire organization of autonomous agents continuously improving my business 24/7/365 I feel like I have unlimited power Right now they are all running on ChatGPT 5.4, but today I will move them to local models running on my 3 Mac Studios and DGX Spark so this will all become free Free, local super intelligence working for me at all times. 10 year old me would think this is a scifi Do this immediately: 1. Ask your agent about Karpathy's Autoresearch. Deeply understand it 2. Ask your agent how you could apply that framework to other projects you're working on 3. Download a local model. Doesn't matter what computer you have. There is a model you can run on it. 4. Just get used to how it works. Learn from it. 5. Push yourself to get uncomfortable every day and try new things. There has never been a better/more profitable time to be a tinkerer

Projects are now available in Cowork. Keep your tasks and context in one place, focused on one area of work. Files and instructions stay on your computer. Import existing projects in one click, or start fresh.

Just set up Claude Cowork and link it to an @obsdmd vault. Sync to iPhone. Have Claude make rules for your situation, I drop notes or .MDs in obsidian inbox, dispatch organizes and or executes. If I need Claude code, dispatch uses whatever tmux instance I need, and it just works. From my phone, natively, in the Claude app.

Seeing a lot of agent capitulation on the timeline this week, and honestly I understand the takes That said, I think OpenClaw, Hermes and other agent harnesses are here to stay As the gap closes with what you can do natively with Claude tools, the next agentic step-function improvement will come and widen the gap again Some folks will find edge in this gap or just enjoy being on the front lines of innovation And where I think this is all headed is the agentic OS - we’ll have a Windows/MacOS/Linux equivalent with an intuitive and easily-configurable agent harness and orchestration built into the OS - agent capabilities at its core Until then many will choose to wait it out which is perfectly understandable
gmoney.eth@gmoneyNFT

i gave it a shot, but can't do this anymore. hermes sucks ass. all these agents suck ass. they just stop working all the time and then take forever to debug. sticking to claude code and codex in terminal. far and away better than messing with this productivity porn
