@stuey_beef @CroneThe86880 Never saw the attraction of the place tbh. Lived there in the early 90s and found it a bit seedy. Travel through regularly now and it still gives me those vibes. Old Town and Abbeville Rd 'village' prob ok but they're for the coloured corduroy trouser types.

@Johnnypapa64 By coincidence, Sir L’s Rolls is parked in exactly the same spot where the Queen’s chauffeur once attempted a 3 point turn. Having dropped off HRH so she too could ascend the steps, he reversed her Rolls into a large bollard. The student cheers were louder than for the Queen.

@DrHelenFry The amazing tale of the controversial lady (Dame Fanny Houston) who paid for the Spitfire to be developed in 1931 when the Govt of the day decided to cut off funding. Without her cash - and it was a huge amount (£100,000 then, approx £7m) - there would have been no Spitfire.
