They would just stream on YouTube in long form. Aside from chat features it’s the superior platform. It can just adapt 4-5 Twitch features and would make it irrelevant.

YouTube on TV is growing so much
Viewers are saving longer videos to watch later on their TVs, like during dinner or before bed
Creators also make more money when views come from the TV app
It's something to think about

If you are not making your YouTube videos intended for a TV audience, you will get left behind. YouTube is the most watched video streaming platform on TV. More Netflix. Videos that are 12+ minutes long is what the YouTube algorithm wants now.

Anyone bothered by this should just stop using YouTube or buy Premium.
“Gimme FREE STUFF” is actually what is causing all the enshitification of society”.
You’re not entitled to FREE or wildly affordably hobby slop and to demand that it all be a high quality experience.
The experience of everything gets worse because people demand it be universally available, and accessible (free or near free)…
But yet don’t expect any loss in quality and that someone else (very few) should subsidize the many more than it already does.
Why do you think YouTube has no competitors (real rivals)?
Because it would be already unprofitable for a decade to try to duplicate YouTube…
And giving the most vocal people who want an alternative their wishlist is how you make your company bankrupt and unprofitable and un-investable.
YouTube Premium is a steal and the best subscription available for the average consumer.
People who need it to be should in fact just put up with ads or move on.

The issue stems from ad blocker detection; disabling the extension immediately restores both features. No reliable workaround exists yet beyond turning off ad blockers or subscribing to Premium.
