Tesla's FSD: 5.3 million miles between accidents. US driving average: 660,000.  That's 9x safer. And it's only getting better.

OK, I admit I was a little obnoxious with my initial reply to you, but I read your reply as a "gotcha" when there are some obvious flaws to it if you think about the differences between guns and voting, and understand what the real ID requirements are for guns. You can exercise much of your 2nd amendment rights without ID. When there is strict voter photo ID, you can not exercise your voting rights without presenting ID (but if you vote a provisional you have at least 2 days to present it).

@Andy_Bloch @libsoftiktok Most of your arguments are tangential to the point, or completely irrelevant. To start off with “you think you are so smart is crazy…. “ I was pointing out that the other argument you made was not a comp and not being condescending, but it appears you aren’t capable of that

@Tesla Now compare it to a sober driver who doesn't speed more than FSD allows and has had a license for at least 7 years.

@wrongyetagain @libsoftiktok No, the right is to "keep and bear." Part of bearing is carrying. Purchasing is part of the right only because without it you couldn't effectively exercise the right as an individual.

@Andy_Bloch @libsoftiktok 3) you were talking about ID to use or carry a firearm. I was saying use is not what the provision in the constitution guarantees. It is referring to ownership, which actually has provisions for not all people as felons are exempted like voting rights.

@Andy_Bloch @libsoftiktok 2) if you don’t have ID when you go to vote you can get a temporary from dmv same day 3) carrying gun isn’t the conversation of right of ownership

2) If you have the required documents on hand, and you can pay for the replacement/renewal, and there aren't long lines or you can use the kiosk, and you have enough time to get to the DMV office and back. You can vote provisionally, but the SAVE Act only gives you 3 days to get the ID and bring it to the elections office, which might not be easy for you to get to.

You got it wrong. When it comes to constitutionally protected rights, we can't ignore the needs of the minority. Depending on the right and the government interest, any restrictions on the right are subject to an appropriate level of scrutiny. And, in this case, the harm to legal voters who won't be able to voter is over 1,000 times as large as the harm that it can reduce. The "greater good" argument favors less strict voter ID than in the SAVE Act.

@Andy_Bloch @libsoftiktok You think you are so wise. Even with constitutional rights, a measure of security is to be expected and is reasonable. Exceptions, and a minority of people dictating policy is where we often fail. Catering to their needs instead of the greater good does a disservice to many.

@wrongyetagain @libsoftiktok 4. Someone can loan you a gun without ID if you aren't a prohibited person and use it lawfully. Depending on the state, there may be duration and use limits. If my friend invites me to go shoot with him on the range, I don't have to have ID.

@wrongyetagain @libsoftiktok 2. If you don't have ID with you, you can pay for the gun and come back at a later date with ID. The only limit is the gun seller's policy. 3. You don't need to show your ID before each and every time you carry or use the gun.

@WhiteHouse STOP LYING. American citizens DO decide elections. Or they would if billionaires like @elonmusk didn't spend hundreds of millions to manipulate people the last weeks before an election.
