@partedteefz @Reuters OK, so it went via the newly set up "toll lane", likely complementary for India, that one can see the ships go via on "marinetraffic". It is not exactly secret. Why is reuters misrepresenting? Don't they care about their reputation?

@Reuters This title of this article is intentionally misleading for reasons that surely have nothing to do with oil market manipulation. Here's the gist of it: - Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz - Iran allows safe passage for friendly nations such as India - Oh the Strait is mined btw

Talks on reopening the Strait of Hormuz and steering Iran away from its nuclear programme will be bitterly difficult. Any eventual deal will be worse than what could have been struck before the war began economist.com/leaders/2026/0…

@FaytuksNetwork I guess US/Israel will sign a guarantee paper that is notarized by Pakistan. /s Grow up guys. Pakistan cannot guarantee it itself will be around in 12 months. One false move and Mullah Munir will not be able to find a bunker deep enough.

China and Pakistan published a joint five-point initiative: immediate ceasefire, start peace talks asap, stop all civilian attacks, restore normal passage of the Strait of Hormuz and construct a comprehensive peace plan with UN principles

@cenkuygur "Best deal is that we promise to leave". Define "Leave". Close all the bases in the region? In any case there is nothing to "offer" or "exchange" in this fight to the finish.

If you tell the Iranians you might leave without reopening the Strait, then they have all the incentive to wait you out and offer nothing in return. Best deal is that we promise to leave in exchange for reopening Strait. But now, we’ve lost that leverage, too. Total incompetence.

Trump keeps saying that he’s going to obliterate Iran AND that he’s going to leave right away. Now, he’s saying he’s going to leave without reopening Strait of Hormuz. What? I’m all for leaving, but wouldn’t we at least negotiate to reopen it? He has no idea what he’s doing!

Stop this romanticism of getting into a dialogue with Pakistan. Who does one talk to, what authority do their government or elected representatives have? It is the army that wields the power and all they seek is to hurt India.

New statement from Trump. Says if a deal isn’t “shortly reached” with a “new regime”, he will bomb Iran’s power plants, oil wells, Kharg Island & desalination plants.

Before-and-after satellite images of the U.S. Air Force E-3 Sentry AWACS aircraft provide a clear view of the extent of damage it sustained from the Iranian strike. The E-3’s unit cost in the 1990s was $270 million, equivalent to ~ $600 million in 2026 dollars.

@McFaul US forces would at some point attempt to take over Kharg Island. Its seizure would not only choke off Iran's oil exports but could also provide a platform from which to carry out attacks against the mainland.

The way every neocon and Trump are constantly talking about Kharg Island makes you think that's not where they're going. But it's not like the Iranians are children. They know Trump loves to think he's faking people out. I'm afraid its our leaders who are unprepared.
