AWCR-Kenya is a national body representing conservancy rangers across the entire network of community and private conservancies in Kenya. #Conservancyrangers
Less than 5% of rangers are women, and they encounter numerous challenges. But there is hope! Here at World Wide Fund for Nature-Kenya (WWF-Kenya), we are actively listening to women rangers and taking decisive action. Despite their unwavering dedication, they face daily struggles with gender bias, discrimination, and marginalization, often enduring low living standards. Together with Female Rangers and Kenya Wildlife Conservancies Association (@KWCAKenya) , we are collaboratively developing an action plan that will break down these barriers, #InvestinWomen rangers, and pave the way for transformative change towards a more inclusive and equitable future for #WomeninConservation.
