Volunteered with @DukeEnergy coworkers this week packing extra bags of food for spring break for more than 140 students in need at Scribner Middle School. The Duke Energy Foundation is proud to support Blessings in a Backpack Floyd County, with a grant.

Protein is essential for growing bodies, and experts recommend that school-aged children get 10-30% of their daily calories from protein. Blessings in a Backpack is ensuring kids get the nutrients they need to stay strong, learn, and thrive—every weekend.
