@CollinRugg Seriously, I would hate to have a neighbor like that guy. Plenty of space on the road and subdivision. Out with your kids and this guy blocks and causes confrontation and then tries to get Mr. Ritchson in trouble. I hope he moves out to somewhere else.

JUST IN: Brentwood Police say 'Reacher' star Alan Ritchson acted in self-defense, say no charges will be filed. The development comes as new footage appears to show Ritchson's neighbor blocking the road while he was on his motorcycle. "After reviewing available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities determined that no criminal charges will be pursued," said the Brentwood Police Department. "Mr. Ritchson’s actions were found to be in self-defense." "Although a potential reckless endangerment charge was considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to pursue charges." The case has been closed.

One of the reasons I kind of hated going on podcasts tbh. I would always rehearsal all my thoughts like 10 times and then still didn't have the time to get all of them across and ended up on some stupid buzzwords instead, lol. I know there is the arugment that it gives you better opportunities to talk to someone and exchange ideas, but a podcast can also never replace an actual 1-to-1 conversation, where a way more unscripted back and forth allows to you gather your thoughts iteratively instead of being forced into a time limit etc. The best way of gathering and spreading ideas is private unscripted talks and then a write up of what you gathered and thought about in these talks. Kind of killed in most modern media, of course.

Hot take: Most sports journalists get worse at analysis when they stop writing and go full podcast/video mode. And it makes sense why. Writing forces you to slow down and organize your thoughts. Writing is where you pressure-test your ideas. Podcasts let you just… say stuff.

Islam should not receive any special privileges in Britain - whether that's slaughter exemptions, an 'Islamophobia tsar', blasphemy laws, parallel legal systems or whatever else. Certainly no special rules for defining Islamophobia - all religions should be open to mock, criticise and insult. That includes Islam. Quite frankly, we have already done more than enough to accommodate Islam and that needs to be reversed. Restore Britain will do exactly that. Halal slaughter banned, cousin marriage outlawed, sharia courts made illegal. The burqa and the niqab will not be welcomed on our streets. We will not change our way of life or tolerate intolerable practices. That is a choice. We will just not do it. There is finally a political party that holds the courage to do what needs to be done. Restore Britain.

Wonder how many dominoes the Crosby thing could possibly knock over. Dallas trading for him, rescinds the trade for Gary, who then gets cut. Ravens could sign Hendrickson AND draft EDGE at 14, and still have next year's 1st. Raiders may suddenly need another iOL if they had 14 overall earmarked for one.

@PFF_Moo Another consideration is that the best receivers generally beat the best cornerbacks - the likes of Revis are literally generational, whereas there are always 2,3,4 Justin Jeffersons around. And particular to KC, their best corners still got smoked on a consistent basis by Philly

The Chiefs have very much shown us that they don't believe in paying big money to cornerbacks (DBs in general). I think that mostly stems from two believes: - Spags is good enough to get sufficient CB play out of not anybody, but a large group of NFL CBs. - CB longevity is a problem. When was the last time a CB dominated the league like some pass rushers do for 7-8 years?

So many factors go into team success it’s hard to create a generalized correlation of the “best” way to attack a draft when every draft is different. If Daniel Jones had been Cam Ward, or if their highly drafted OLmen had all hit, would the Giants with Saquon have found more success? If Michael Penix had stayed healthy and been good right away, would the Falcons be much better with Bijan? Like it’s not Bijan’s fault the Falcons can’t get the formula around him right. It’s not Saquon’s fault the other highly drafted Giants players didn’t meet expectations. Where would the Lions be without Jahmyr Gibbs? If their defense had just stayed healthy in 2024, would they have gone to the Super Bowl? There’s just way too many moving parts with each roster, all of which are constructed differently because every player acquisition cycle offers different strengths and weaknesses, for me to comfortably say the reason these bad teams stayed bad is simply because they took a running back high in the draft.

People will tell you a RB isn’t worth a top-4 pick right after a RB just won SBMVP the year after Saquon carried the Eagles to a Super Bowl with a 2K-yard season. People would really have you draft a worse player with bigger question marks simply because of “positional value.”

There was a Jew hunt door to door in Woodseats Sheffield. We ended it within 15 mins because they didn’t like “Jew Hunt” shouting at them. They were collecting addresses of the non-supportive.
