Well, it seems like I have to spend my morning correcting these fucking liars... Thomas, you duplicitous, grandstanding fraud... First, the oil isn't "stolen." It's lawfully seized Venezuelan crude from Maduro's criminal regime...tankers and cargoes violating U.S. sanctions that Congress itself authorized through multiple statutes (CAATSA, VERDAD Act, and repeated appropriations for OFAC enforcement). The executive branch, under IEEPA powers Congress delegated, blocks, seizes, and forfeits sanctioned property. This isn't theft; it's enforcement of law against a narco-terrorist state that starved its people and funded Hezbollah. Calling it "stolen" makes you sound like a Maduro apologist or a useful idiot...pick one. Since you are a fucking libertarian I'll go with both... Second, the proceeds aren't being funneled into "Trump's personal piggy bank." That's a venomous, baseless smear worthy of MSNBC, not a sitting Congressman. The funds from these sales are parked in a protected Qatari account precisely to shield them from predatory creditors (ConocoPhillips, Crystallex, etc.) who hold billions in valid U.S. court judgments against Maduro's regime. The goal: preserve the money for the Venezuelan people under a future legitimate government, not let it be siphoned off by vulture funds in U.S. courts. This is textbook sanctions policy...neutral offshore escrow to prevent asset dissipation. We've done variants for Iran, Russia, Afghanistan. It's strategic, not corrupt. Third, your hysterical screech about "only Congress can appropriate money" is constitutional illiteracy wrapped in performative outrage. These aren't U.S. taxpayer dollars drawn from the Treasury requiring annual appropriation. They are forfeited foreign assets...proceeds of sanctioned property. The executive has longstanding authority to manage, liquidate, and direct such funds under existing statutory frameworks without new line-item appropriation each time. If every seized tanker sale needed a separate vote, sanctions would be toothless. Your purported "originalist" reading collapses the moment you touch reality. You're not defending the Constitution, Thomas. You're posturing for clicks while undermining a policy that starves a brutal regime of revenue and preserves resources for Venezuela's liberation. This is the same spineless isolationist reflex that leaves tyrants untouched and Americans exposed. You lecture about fiscal restraint yet clutch pearls when the executive uses delegated powers to crush a hemisphere-threatening socialist kleptocracy. Wake up yourself, Congressman. Your selective outrage isn't principle...it's cowardice dressed as conviction. America First demands strength against dictators, not impotent whining from the cheap seats. The Republic endures despite quislings like you. In other words, get your fucking head out of your fucking ass... Thomas.

The Real Mike Rowe
The Real Mike Rowe@mikeroweworks·
Back in June of 2022, I was out for an early morning ruck when a guy on a bike skidded to a stop beside me and asked if I was Mike Rowe. I nodded and grimaced. I would have said “yes" and smiled, but the 65 lbs on my back had robbed me of my normal good humor. The man spoke with a French accent and bubbled with enthusiasm. “I have followed your career with great interest,” he said, “and I listen to your podcast every week! I very much appreciate your efforts to inspire the world with stories of grit and determination! I hope to one day do the same! Any advice?” He told me his name was Cyril. His last name didn’t stick, but it started with a “D” and had lots of letters. “Well,” I said, “you should probably get famous first. Nobody in this country listens to anyone who isn’t famous.” Cyril smiled and said, “I am going to pedal across the Pacific Ocean in a kayak, all by myself. I will be known for this!” Clearly, I had encountered another lunatic on the bike path. There’s no shortage of them in this part of the country, but at least this one was charming. “Sounds ambitious,” I said. “When do you leave?” “Next week,” he said. “I will pedal from Monterey, California, to Hilo, Hawaii. It will take me several months and require all of the strength and perseverance I possess. When I return, I would love to share my experience with you and your listeners.” “Pedal?” I asked. "You mean paddle, right?” “No, I mean pedal. My kayak has pedals, like my bike. It is why I ride every day. I will pedal across the Pacific Ocean, alone." “Sounds like fun,” I said. “If you live, I’d love to hear about your adventure.” Cyril laughed and gave me his number. I watched him ride off, legs pumping furiously, and got on with my ruck, fairly confident our paths would never cross again. But I was wrong. Two years later, on the same bike path, in roughly the same place that we’d met before, a man skidded to a stop beside me. “Mike! It is me! Cyril! Do you remember?” He had a beard this time, but there was no mistaking his voice or his enthusiasm. “Of course,” I said. “You’re the lunatic who was going to pedal across the Pacific Ocean in a kayak all by yourself.” “I am!” he said. “And I did!” “Congratulations!” I said. “And, I lived!” “I can see that,” I said. "How long did it take you?” “Ninety-one days and nine hours,” he said. “It was the adventure of my lifetime.” “That's incredible," I said. "I’d love to hear all about it. Can you come to Santa Monica to record an episode of the podcast?” “I would love to,” he said, “but not right now. I’m training very hard this month for my next adventure.” “What now?” I asked. “I am going to pedal across the Atlantic Ocean in my kayak, all by myself.” “Sounds ambitious,” I said. “When do you leave?” “In two months,” he said. “I will pedal from the Canary Islands to Martinique. It will take me several months and require all the strength and perseverance I possess. When I return, I would love to share my experience with you and your listeners.” “Great,” I said. “If you live, I’ll make sure we get you on this year.” Cyril laughed and rode off, legs pumping furiously, and a few months later, I googled the crazy Frenchman, and learned that Cyril Derreumaux had become the only human to pedal across both oceans in a kayak, all by himself. With the possible exception of my mother, I can’t think of a better guest to round out 2025. Cyril is fluent in six languages and a true student of life. He now holds three Guinness World Records and done something no other human has even attempted. And now, he’s out in the world, telling true stories of grit and determination, inspiring people with every incredible sentence, and challenging the species to boldly go into an uncertain future with humor, grit, and perseverance. I’m not saying @cdxpro isn’t a lunatic. You’ve got to be a little crazy to pedal over the world’s oceans in a kayak all by yourself. I’m just saying he’s a fantastic human being, who I was lucky to meet and honored to introduce. A short clip is attached. Our whole conversation is here. bit.ly/TWIHI463CyrilD You’re gonna love him.

North Carolina Rep Brad Knott speaking at the Capitol talking about Stacey Abrams getting $2 billion dollars for a NGO she created 30 days before Stacey Abrams was not required to give a single dollar back, she was allowed to pocket it all through the NGO @NateFriedman97 “How do we stop these no-bid contracts? How do we prevent this from happening?” North Carolina Rep Brad Knott “The paradigm example of a no-bid contract is the one that was received by Stacey Abrams. Stacey Abrams got $2 billion handed to her for base It's basically a political slush fund. The Democrats have been very shrewd in how they allocate tax dollars to further their own political objectives” The $2 billion dollar slush fund is described in detail:

A friend shared this and I think it is spot on: A few thoughts on the past few days: 1) I don’t think it’s “both-siderism” to assume that in a country of 340 million there are evil people and nuts on both the left and right that will commit despicable acts.  We can argue about who has more, but that is not my point. 2) Furthermore, there are hate-filled people on both the left and right who will celebrate these acts.  Again, their relative numbers are not the point here. 3) The most marked difference that separates the left from the right is what follows.  The left will form mobs to retaliate with their own despicable (usually violent) acts, and the media will search for ways to excuse their conduct and pin the blame on the right.  The right will go to church, pray, and use the public square to draw lessons from it all, and the media will find ways pin the blame on the right. We are not the same.

Hey @gofundme -- why are you allowing the North Carolina murder suspect to raise money for legal fees on your website? You made a very public announcement after January 6 that your service could not be used to raise funds for defendants accused of violent crimes. Boycott GoFundMe until they take down the account and refund all money to contributors. Any money that can't be refunded should go to the victim's family. Please RT.

🚨NEW: Illegal alien and TikTok influencer Tatiana Martinez was arrested today. She used her platform to alert protesters, encouraging them to interfere with and obstruct ICE and law enforcement in California. What’s alarming is that Los Angeles parking enforcement follows ICE agents, and the moment they step out of their cars, the tow truck swoops in.

@elonmusk Failing to pass BBB would have resulted in both increased tax rates and continued deficit spending under CR. While I agree that more cuts are critical, POTUS had to get something done. Starting a new party as opposed to using the primary process will only help Democrats.

I'm guessing the story is going to move on quickly but the complaint filed in San Francisco yesterday is too funny to pass up the chance to take some shots at. Paywalled but free trials yesterday -- had 25 people sign up for such free trials to read yesterday's article so this one is a bonus. Link next panel down. RTs greatly appreciated.

President Trump invoked the Alien Enemies Act lawfully, and he acted accordingly. AEA powers are non-justiciable and unreviewable, says SCOTUS. After Trump's EO on January 20th declaring TdA an FTO, there is no legal difference between TdA and ISIS. Ask yourself, if Biden had just deported 3 terrorists (much less 300) would the ACLU and the left be so apoplectic? Then why are they?
