Exactly, DLP tools are trying to make it harder not impossible A very large number of users are very very immature when it comes to security so will happily share a clients bank details in an email to the wrong recipient I’ve seen it happen so many times 😭 These are the kinds of people your DLP tool is trying to stop, not the actual guys who know what they’re doing

@techspence Very much depends on the context but will be a different playbook for various scenarios I think DLP is 80% stopping and 19% knowing who done it to bring the law down on them (Notice there’s still 1% who will get through it all!)

@ChoppyTech @IceSolst MDC is good on a small perimeter, once you go big, lots of findings and have multiple people onboard that need to have access to this data it reaches it’s limitations very quickly

How feasible is it to replace CSPM vendors (Prisma, Wiz) with a couple in-house engineers and the clouds provider’s native tooling? Their pricing is verging towards extortion

@ChoppyTech @IceSolst …onboard all contributors (PO, Ciso, Syds admins, network admins..) when with MDC we had to put central teams to manage all the workloads as we couldnt segment efficiently to limit findings exposure and made it impossible to follow on all fronts

@dfktd_ @IceSolst Yeah Microsoft have a long way to go After using both, would you say that using defender over Wiz is actually reducing your security posture?
