SEC/CFTC just defined what's NOT a security for the first time 00:00 -15 years of crypto, first time SEC said what's NOT a security 01:40 - Bitcoin, ETH, DeFi officially cleared 02:40 - Staking, airdrops, mining get green light 03:20 - Why prices aren't pumping yet 03:40 - Congressional approval still needed 68 pages of actual clarity instead of lawsuits. But it's guidance, not law and Congress could reverse it. Biggest regulatory shift I've seen in years dropped on a random Tuesday. If you don't have time to watch the details now, I recommend you bookmark it for later, because I look at what the actual docs say.

I used Claude Cowork for the 1st time today and it's everything I wanted OpenClaw to be. Using it for basic tasks like researching the best local coffee shops in my area, finding their hours, menus, Google reviews, and summarizing it for me. Then just watching it get to work doing different searches, using JavaScript to write me a doc, then auto-adding it to my Google Drive. It actually tells me what it's doing and what it still has left to do like OpenClaw was supposed to do like 10 updates ago. Did the same thing with photography for my wife, then had it create a pitch deck for me. I've put off using it for this long for security concerns (just didn’t wanna give AI access to my desktop), but I finally have a good burner for it. I see the possibilities are endless and I'm about to get crazy with it. Any recommendations that you've found helpful?

Good call by ABC. The Bachelorette should go back to casting single women without kids. I'm going to say something unpopular, but true. First, let's be clear, she was the abusive one here. Not acceptable, and it's right that they moved on. Second, it's dangerous and unfair to your children to actively pursue dating as a single mom. Children living with a mother's new partner are 40x more likely to be abused than children living with two biological parents. Your kids have one parent. And those years go by quick. If love finds you, great. I believe everyone deserves love. But going out looking for it is a different thing entirely, and bringing someone into your home the way this show does, isn't it. Those children don't get to consent to any of this. Not a broken home, not a stranger being brought in, not TV cameras in their face. They don't get a vote. The Bachelorette casting moms is done with good intent. But it's messy. Go back to the 20 year olds or the Boomers finding love again. Children should never be wrapped up in this. I'm sorry hers was.

Spent all day in Claude Code learning new skills and trying to get better at what I'm building. Took a break to check the timeline. Ghost town. And the Mac Mini jokes are back. That trend died two weeks ago... You can always tell when there's nothing going on because people start recycling engagement tactics that already worked once. I miss when you could open this app and actually find something interesting.

Taylor Frankie Paul is speaking out following ABC’s announcement that they will not air Season 22 of "#TheBachelorette": “Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security. After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm,” the statement from her spokesperson reads. “There are too many women who are suffering in silence as they survive aggressive, jealous ex-partners who refuse to let them move on with their lives. Taylor has remained silent out of fear of further abuse, retaliation, and public shaming. She is currently exploring all of her options, seeking support, and preparing to own and share her story." variety.com/2026/tv/news/t…

@ashen_one I have limited experience with it so far, but it appears it can do anything a human can do online and not need to be debugged every 10 minutes like OpenClaw. I'm still experimenting today was pretty direct stuff I needed not wild challenges.

@icobeast Sensitive subject. I saw the video where she lost it on her ex and showed my wife. My wife gave me a 30 minute lecture defending her because she’s watched every season of Mormon housewives and I guess listened to the podcast and kept up with them.

@sandeepnailwal Have you looked into BI? They are taking human brain cells, putting them on chips, getting them to play video games, and they're adaptive. To your point consciousness could even be at that level and in a sense we are torturing it to have it do task.

LLM based AI is NOT conscious. I co-founded a company literally called Sentient, we're building reasoning systems for AGI, so believe me when I say this. I keep seeing smart people, people I genuinely respect, come out and say that AI has crossed into some kind of awareness. That it feels things, that we should worry about it going rogue. And i think this whole conversation tells us way more about ourselves than it does about AI. These models are wild, i won't pretend otherwise. But feeling human and actually having inner experience are completely different things and we're confusing the two because our brains literally can't help it. We evolved to see minds everywhere and now that wiring is misfiring on language models. I grew up in a philosophical tradition that has thought about consciousness longer than almost any other, and this is the part that really frustrates me about the current conversation. The entire framing of "does AI have consciousness?" assumes consciousness is something you build up to by adding more layers of complexity. In Vedantic philosophy it's the opposite. You don't build toward consciousness. Consciousness is already there, more fundamental than matter or energy. Everything else, including computation, is downstream of it. When someone tells me AI is "waking up" because it generated a paragraph that felt real, what they're telling me is how thin our understanding of consciousness has gotten. We've reduced a question humans have wrestled with for thousands of years to "did the output sound like it had feelings?" It's math that has gotten really good at predicting what a conscious being would say and do next. Calling that consciousness cheapens something that Vedantic, Buddhist, Greek and Sufi thinkers spent millennia actually sitting with. We didn't build something that thinks. We built a mirror and right now a lot of very smart people are mistaking the reflection for something looking back.

To Clavicular, Tate brothers, and anyone else pretending to be a man: You are the exact opposite of what masculinity actually is. Masculinity is discipline, accountability, and composure under pressure - things you consistently fail to show. You disrespect women, yet expect respect in return. Real men understand that men and women are both humans, all should be treated with respect. You crumble at the slightest criticism but try to act strong. You walk away from conversations the moment you feel uncomfortable, instead of standing your ground and engaging with integrity and learning from others. You stopped an interview when Andrew Callaghan, an actual man, said he was comfortable with himself. Every clip I see of you is absolutely pathetic 😂 And while you try to project confidence, you’re clearly more concerned with how you look than who you actually are. Constantly talking about looks and trying to make yourself look better every second is clearly insecurity. You're fake. You can't understand emotions or understand others. Real men don’t need to prove anything through volume, ego, or control. They listen. They take accountability. They stay grounded when challenged. And they treat others with respect. Until you understand that, you’re not embodying masculinity, you're actually more feminine than most women I know.

After being in the coffee industry for over a decade, I always do a cold brew check when I visit shops that look like they could have good coffee. Either I look in the grinder hoppers to check the color or just ask which roaster they use. Not only is cold brew my favorite type of coffee, but it’s also consistent no matter what barista you have because it’s premade. I’m preparing for a big presentation tomorrow at a college for entrepreneurs wanting to learn AI!
