Congratulations Sir @kipmurkomen. I believe you can do it.
KIPCHUMBA MURKOMEN, E.G.H@kipmurkomen

Honoured and grateful to have been nominated by H.E. the President @WilliamsRuto as the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports. Thank you, Mr. President, for this incredible opportunity to serve our great nation, Kenya. The last two weeks have been moments of deep reflection. I would like to unreservedly apologise to every Kenyan who I may have offended through my words, my deeds and my conduct, including my lifestyle, in the last two years of my public service. Subject to my approval by Parliament, I pledge to serve the people of Kenya diligently, with great humility and unwavering accountability. Thank you very much. God bless you and God bless Kenya.

Talk about a photo finish 📸📸📸 One week after finishing runner-up in Eugene, Jakob Ingebrigtsen was not about to take an L in front of the home crowd. The Norwegian led the #OsloDL 1500m gun to tape with no help from the pacers, then held off a hard-charging Timothy Cheruiyot with a full dive across the finish line, 3:29.74 to 3:29.77. Ingebrigtsen hit the track but came out on top, as less than a second separates places 3-7 from 3:30.80 to 3:31.57.

@kipmurkomen It’s great seeing the 5000m women record breaking team being acknowledged and recognized. Beatrice in her own rights is a strong and consistent athlete. Hongera Waziri @kipmurkomen

We all celebrated the achievements of Faith Kipyegon but behind her were a team of athletes who set the pace for her to break the world record. One of them is her friend Beatrice Chepkoech who in her own right is the world record holder, a world champion and multiple winner in many races around the world. It’s a lesson in life that Non nobis solum nati sumus. Was privileged to host Beatrice and her husband Peter when they called on me in my office in Nairobi.
