@thenewarea51 @LadyAstroJet Just looked through my old logbooks. I flew this aircraft as a First Officer numerous times. Looking forward to seeing her in SEA. Long live the Queen! ✈️

A retired Boeing 747 — the legendary “Queen of the Skies” — is now suspended between two high-rise towers in the heart of Seattle as part of the striking WB 1200 Project at 1200 Stewart Street in the Denny Triangle district. The aircraft, once flying for United Airlines on routes linking San Francisco, Tokyo, and Hong Kong from 1990 to 2017, was sourced from a storage facility in Victorville, California.

Came to #Arizona to #KnockDoors in the final days of the election. Amazing volunteer turnout for the #Democrats here. Went by the #Republican county office today. It wasn’t even open! They aren’t even trying to persuade here. Remember that when they try to steal it instead.

Having our tradespeople, small businesses, and community leaders at the table is core to building a new I-5 Bridge that reflects our values and relieves congestion. Thanks to the folks who took time to come out, including @RepRickLarsen, and it's exciting to see the momentum behind getting this done. Please make yourselves heard and submit public comment by Nov. 18 at interstatebridge.org.

Join me as I answer some of your burning questions. Are single pilot crews safe? This is something I’m frequently asked, and my answer is not going to change anytime soon. #CaptSully #AMA #SinglePilotCrews #Aviation

It has been one of the great honors of my life to serve as the Representative for Washington's 6th District in Congress. I’m proud of what we have accomplished – but it is time for the next chapter. I will not seek re-election in 2024. Read my full statement here:

One of the reasons I came to Congress was my desire to make government work better. I’m proud of the bipartisan progress we made on the @ModernizeCmte – and I’m committed to doing all I can to keep pushing for reforms to build a better Congress. tacomaweekly.com/kilmer-wins-aw…

We are committed to increasing security in the air transportation system to prevent another attack like the horrific events of September 11, 2001, but one key gap still exists in safeguarding the flight deck. Earlier this year, @SenBobCasey (D-PA) introduced the Saracini Enhanced Aviation Safety Act (S.911) to address this gap: his legislation mandates installation of a such a barrier between cabin and cockpit on all passenger planes in the United States, not only new ones. Named after Captain Victor Saracini who piloted United 175 when it was hijacked by terrorists on 9/11, the Saracini Enhanced Aviation Safety Act will keep pilots, passengers, and American aviation safe from future attacks. “For more than 20 years, airline pilots have been committed in ensuring that the legacy of all who lost their lives or were harmed on September 11, 2001, is that of a safer and more secure U.S. air transportation system. ALPA has long supported the use of secondary barriers and are grateful to Senator Casey for honoring Capt. Saracini’s memory,” said our President Capt. Jason Ambrosi, in the Senator’s press release about the legislation. “Installing secondary barriers on all passenger aircraft is a long overdue, cost-effective way to preserve the integrity of the flightdeck and keep crews and passengers safe.” Learn more: casey.senate.gov/news/releases/… #NeverForget #September11 #Aviation #Safety #Airlines #Pilots #SecondaryBarriers

While mandatory secondary barriers were recommended in the 9/11 Commission’s final report, the industry has lagged far beyond in voluntary installation. The hardened cockpit door is only an effective security layer while it is closed. In order to safeguard our aircraft against hijacking attempts, a secondary barrier is necessary on ALL passenger aircraft. Please join us in calling on #Congress to support the installation of secondary barriers on all passenger airplanes, not only newly manufactured aircraft. alpa.quorum.us/campaign/49229/ #NeverForget #September11 #Aviation #Safety #SecondaryBarriers #Flying #Cargo #AirTravel
