Another weekend, another estate sale. We actually made it to four sales today, which I think is a new record for us. Two of them were less than a mile from the first stop, so we figured we might as well make the drive count. My husband said to keep an eye out for Japanese aircraft models, an area where we’re definitely lacking. As luck would have it, I found a nearby sale with exactly what we were hoping for. I had my eye on the A6M2-N “Rufe” (the floatplane version of the Zero) and grabbed it as soon as I saw the box. This is only my second 1:48 scale Franklin Mint aircraft model, and the quality of these pieces is truly exceptional. My husband picked up the Grumman F4F Wildcat, which we later learned was a little more special than we initially realized… more on that soon. We also found a few things for the house, some additions for my indoor plant wall and pieces for the outdoor oasis I’m slowly creating. Overall, it was a very good day full of great finds!
