@MaryLk0xk @TruthHolder2023 What about those who feel led to Islam? That God has told them it is true? Can you trust your feelings?

@DavidLeeGenesis @TruthHolder2023 That isn't what the Holy Ghost told me, dear friend. My heart was full when I first put the Book of Mormon in my lap. The Holy Ghost verified to me within a few minutes that it was true and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. And sense then I have grown closer to Jesus.

I love that members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints fill X with messages about Christ. We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ. It's not the Church of Mormon. It's not the Church of John the Baptist. It is the Church of JESUS CHRIST. We testify that Jesus of Nazareth lived a sinless life and is the Lamb of God. He was crucified, and his body was placed in a tomb. After 3 days, he rose from the grave. He appeared to many after His resurrection. He is the Christ.

With all due respect, I believe you misunderstand what the church is. It is not a corporation. The name of the LDS corporation means nothing. It is people, individuals who decide to put their trust in Jesus. The true Jesus as taught by the apostles and recorded in the New Testament documents. The evidence is overwhelming Mormonism is built on lies and a false prophet. Turn from Mormonism, and seek the truth.

The Savior was warning about those who would profess His name but not honor His name. Christ said, "If ye love me, keep my commandments." He said, "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you." There is but one Church of Jesus Christ. There is but one Church of Jesus Christ with authority from Him whose name the Church bears.

“In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.” Hebrews 1:1-2 Jesus is the only prophet we need. This dude is just another sinful man and even more so under a special curse according to Paul. “But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!” Galatians 1:8

In Deuteronomy 18:22, the word “presumptuously” is translating the Hebrew idea of acting with arrogance, boldness, or willful assumption—speaking as if you have authority from God when you actually do not. “But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death.”” Deuteronomy 18:20

@DavidLeeGenesis @Sola_GPT Presumptuously does not imply a false Prophet, literally one who just presumed. Thanks for quoting another scripture everyone seems to not understand. Including yourself.

Both Book of Mormon and Book of Revelation are angel-involved revelations that add more theology and doctrine but don’t change the core gospel message Book of Revelation actually seems more dif from rest of Bible than BOM

Christ is Risen@DRRomanosDaniel

The book of revelation came from Jesus Himself. He literally writes to His churches in Asia. And again, there is zero inconsistent with the rest of the Bible. In fact it is an expansion of the last bit of Isaiah. As for an example - how about a repeat of the lie of the serpent regarding the fall?

“You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?” If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed.” Deuteronomy 18:21-22

Misunderstanding of what the church is. It’s not the Baptist or Presbyterian or Methodists, etc. it’s the people. It’s those who believe in Christ and accept a his free gift of eternal life. It’s not a corporation or a club or a denomination that needs to be restored. The gospel is clear. Jesus died for sins, those who believe recieve the free gift of eternal life. Nothing needs to be added.

One of the strongest arguments for the Restoration is watching how loudly people insist it was not needed while also proving, in real time, why it was. Confusion over doctrine. Confusion over authority. Confusion over ordinances. Confusion over the Church Christ actually established. That’s no small problem. That is the problem.

Continue reading Bruce. Not everybody who uses the name of Jesus is saved. Good works are great but is not the ultimate indicator. What matters is that you know and believe the truth about who Jesus is. ““Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. @DavidLeeGenesis @TruthHolder2023 Read Matt 7:15-20. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints bears good fruit. As you judge, you will be judged. Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

Oxford professor John Lennox on testing the reality of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ: "Now, my final point is this. I'm a scientist of sorts, and people say to me, 'Come on. You can't believe this stuff.' Because in science and practical science you do experiments. You test your hypothesis. Christianity is not testable. Isn't it? Isn't it? You see, the difference between the two last things I read were the difference between seeing something, those grave cloths, and working out an intellectual conclusion that something utterly remarkable has happened. That's not quite the same thing as meeting the risen Jesus. And you see, ladies and gentlemen, if it is true that Jesus rose from the dead, then He's still alive, and it's possible to meet Him. Now, you can do an experiment, and it's this—this Jesus who claims to be risen tells us that if we're prepared to trust Him, repent of the mess we've made of our own lives, and the lives of other people, and we're prepared to receive Him as Lord and Controller of life as the risen Son of God, then He will give us forgiveness. Does the word forgiveness mean anything to you? He'll give us new life and a new power... Now, ladies and gentlemen, this is the test...When you see people with narcotic or alcohol dependence, and they've no food to put on the table in front of their children, and you meet them then a year later, and something has happened. You say, 'What's happened to you?' and they say something like, 'Well, I met Jesus,' or 'I became a Christian,' or they'll put it different ways. When you see that again and again, you add two and two to get four. I wouldn't sit here for a nanosecond if I didn't believe that not only is the resurrection of Jesus intellectually credible, but I believe it's existentially credible because the center part of my life and that of my wife and family is to walk with Him from day to day. Now, that may sound absolute jargon and mumbo-jumbo to you, but we're living in a universe where we discover that we are persons, and every analogy we know tells us that our origin cannot be sub-personal. It's supra-personal. And if we enjoy human friendship, what a magnificent thing it is if God makes a way where we can through faith in Christ become His sons and daughters and enjoy the biggest friendship and the most exciting friendship in the universe, and that is friendship with the risen Christ."

The Bible teaches God is spirit. “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”” John 4:24 Also if they did why didn’t he mention it in his first vision account? 1832 - First Vision Account josephsmithpapers.org/paper-summary/… in the 16th year of my age> a piller of fire light above the brightness of the sun at noon day come down from above and rested upon me and I was filled with the spirit of god and the <Lord> opened the heavens upon me and I saw the Lord16 and he spake unto me saying Joseph <my son> thy sins are forgiven thee. go thy <way> walk in my statutes and keep my commandments behold I am the Lord of glory I was crucifyed for the world that all those who believe on my name may have Eternal life <behold> the world lieth in sin and at this time and none doeth good no not one they have turned asside from the gospel and keep not <my> commandments they draw near to me with their lips while their hearts are far from me and mine anger is kindling against the inhabitants of the earth to visit them acording to thir ungodliness and to bring to pass that which <hath> been spoken by the mouth of the prophets and Ap[o]stles17 behold and lo I come quickly as it [is?] written of me in the cloud <clothed> in the glory of my Father18 and my soul was filled with love and for many days I could rejoice with great Joy

No, Latter-day Saints do not worship a different Jesus. We worship Jehovah. We worship the Son of God. We worship the Messiah born of Mary. We worship the crucified and risen Lord. We worship the Firstborn of the Father. We worship the King who will come again. Same Jesus. Same Lord. Same Savior. The only thing making people confused is their ignorance, not our doctrine.

He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, But whoever walks wisely will be delivered.” Proverbs 28:26 NKJV ““The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9 NKJV “And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”” Mark 7:20-23 NKJV 1 John 4:1 “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

Remember when your prophet said this? How do you justify that? “You see some classes of the human family that are black, uncouth, uncomely, disagreeable and low in their habits, wild, and seemingly deprived of nearly all the blessings of the intelligence that is generally bestowed upon mankind. The first man that committed the odious crime of killing one of his brethren will be cursed the longest of any one of the children of Adam. Cain slew his brother. Cain might have been killed, and that would have put a termination to that line of human beings. This was not to be, and the Lord put a mark upon him, which is the flat nose and black skin.” (October 9, 1859, Journal of Discourses 7:290-291)

“You may not like what comes from the authority of the Church. It may contradict your political views, it may contradict your social views, it may interfere with some of your social life. But if you listen to these things as if from the mouth of the Lord Himself, with patience and faith, the Lord will bless you.” -Harold B Lee I have a firm testimony of this. Following the prophet is the surest way to receive the ability to overcome trials and receive peace in this life. If you are feeling angry or sorrowful in your life, find small ways to live the Gospel more. It is the only real way you can heal. When in doubt, follow the prophet!

As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we believe in a living, loving God who still communicates with His children. You can debate us all day long, and you might even be able to stump us from time to time, but scholarly knowledge is no substitute for a witness born to the heart and mind by the power of the Holy Ghost. We are encouraged to know for ourselves what only God can reveal. Just as in the times of Jesus, sincere, humble seekers find truth, while cynics and doubters refuse to see.

@DavidLeeGenesis @TheGermanicist @YouSpooneeBard Im tired of that prophecy being used as a "gotcha". Read DNC 130:14-17 written in 1832. Then do the math of when he said Volume 2 in 1835(29yo). He was NOT declairing the coming of the Lord for ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY. He really thought he would live to see it based off HIS OWN guess.
