A few days ago, a video went viral of a schoolgirl with disabilities in both legs walking nearly two kilometers to her school. Many people, including celebrities, raised the issue and demanded that the Gopalganj (Bihar) administration provide her with a hand-tricycle. After massive outrage and media coverage, officials finally reached the village, handed her a tricycle, and promptly uploaded pictures on social media. The DM happily took the credit (image). Within just four days, the so-called sarkari tricycle broke down and stopped working (video). What the hell is this? Did they give her some third-class junk or a second-hand repainted tricycle just to stage a photo-op and claim credit? If this is the level of insincerity and negligence even in a case that went viral across the entire internet, one can only imagine the sincerity of the system in thousands of cases that never get any attention at all.




Realistic review of the MTC Premium Bus 1. Booked the ticket on @Chennai_One and made the payment via BHIM app. 20% instant cash back ✅ 2. Timing: Scheduled for 4:01 pm, the bus reached my stop by 4:31 pm. Had to wait for more than 30 minutes. ❌ 3. Live tracking never worked on the Chennai One app. Had no idea when the bus would arrive. ❌ 4. Dedicated Seats: Booked seat 1 only to find the ticket checker was sitting in my seat. Your ticket is not tagged to the bus. Anyone can board any of the premium buses. For example, if I have booked Seat 1 for the 4:01 pm bus and someone books Seat 1 for the 4:31 pm bus. 4:01 pm bus arrives by 4:31 pm and both of us will board the same bus and this will create confusion. ❌ 5. Free WiFi: Onboard WiFi was not working ❌ 6. Fewer priority stops: It was claimed that the premium bus will only stop at the places where someone has booked the ticket saving travel time. But the fact was that the bus stopped at most of the locations and people were asked to get down stating that it was only for the reserved. Why stop at the places where there’s no booking? Took so much time. ❌ 7. Reserved tickets only: People without the ticket reserved who had the Chennai One app were also picked up and were assisted on how to reserve the ticket by the Chennai One representative inside the bus. Again, it takes so much time. ❌ 8. Seats and AC: Too good and comfortable. ✅ 9. Staff: The driver and the Chennai One executive were courteous and helpful. ✅ 10. Bus Kneeling facility was not used at all stops. One senior citizen tripped and almost fell while boarding. ❌ Rating: 3/10 Meh Needs so much effort and training @MtcChennai Hope the experience improves. @prabhusean7




Update. After about 10 years of complaining, there is some action. But not enough. The GCC has put up cement pillar type things to stop vehicles from using the footpath as a parking lot on one side. On the other side, an entire lane is still taken over by parking. No change.






.@IOBIndia please fix this barrier on your ATM ramp in Coimbatore within 2 weeks. Or shut it down. @RBI you need to step up regulation to ensure non-negotiable accessibility. Series of shameful excuses of ramps being shared consistently. Discrimination via denial of service.






As a disabled person visited this Puliyakulam, coimbatore Atm today, really don't how this ramp can be used ? @drag_org;@DisabilityIndia ;@TARATDAC1



I had earlier calculated the time, from the entry upto the Departure-T1, it took 4 mins & after that have to unload their luggages also which will take another 3 to 4 mins. In this situation think if there was a Person with Disability, on a average it needs minimum of 20 mins

@DisabilityIndia Due to the road widening and platform reinstallation work, which is in progress by government authorities. The re-laying up of Ramp for the mentioned ATM Premises is on hold and will be completed surely in due course. This is for your kind information.
