Plus, the Ukrainian economy is backed by EU funds, meaning Ukraine can afford to keep fighting. Russia's finances, per their own media outlets, are precarious at best.

Blockading Iranian ports is an act of war and thus a violation of the ceasefire. Striking a commercial vessel and taking its crew hostage is an even greater violation. Iran knows how to neutralize restrictions, how to defend its interests, and how to resist bullying.

Agree the £100k tax trap is ridiculous. Earners over £100k (now ~2 million people) already shoulder a massive share of UK income tax. The top 10% pay over 60% of it all. Yet between £100k–£125k you face a 60%+ effective marginal rate (62% with NI). Punishing the biggest contributors isn't fair so everyone in the comments hating need to get a grip.

It would be even worse for me. It already costs me £5,028 in extra tax from the 60% band between £100k–£125k. If you raise the personal allowance to £20k but keep the taper, that 60% band stretches to £140k - and cost me £8,000 instead. You’re not fixing the system. You’re just widening the trap.
