@Verlustt11 Where does Scripture call us to offer up veneration to human beings and not devote our attention fully to God Himself?
English

Evangelicals or whatever Christian he is have this gap in their theology not knowing that veneration and worshipping are two different things.

@CatholicCoachP @_R_O_A_R_S_ One does not need to sleep, but a minimum requirement of leisure time needs to be set at the bare minimum.
If you wanna drive around in your car or sit in a lawn chair drinking a beer, we can accept that, among other things.
English

@DixiePropaganda @_R_O_A_R_S_ Do I have to sleep? Or can I go lift, run or drive around in my car?
English

@CatholicCoachP @_R_O_A_R_S_ True, they think and work too much.
I just want a 2 hour nap at noon in the middle of a work day.

@TheWatchman_144 @gonefishin1948 @AutumnalisVelum Not what I was calling Gnostic
Although Christ isn't the Bible
English

@DixiePropaganda @gonefishin1948 @AutumnalisVelum Seriously? Calling “the Word made flesh” gnostic tells me the term is being used without understanding what gnosticism actually is. Christianity teaches God entered history in the flesh. Gnosticism denied the goodness/reality of the incarnation. Exact opposite.
English

Without God’s Word, you have a concept of who God might be—not the revelation of who He actually is.
Pagans were convinced their gods were real too.
The one true God revealed Himself through His Word. Jesus is the Word made flesh (John 1:14).
Creation reveals that God exists. Scripture reveals who He is.
English

@OmniTheGoat24 @SlowToWrite Do you consider the Shepherd of Hermas or the letters of Clement scripture?
English

@SlowToWrite Not the collected “Bible” no, but it was scripture read by early Christians. So..
English

Easy.
The Book of Enoch was never part of the Bible.
Toneskee ☀️@Toneskeee
Any of my fellow nerds want to give a go at answering this?
English

@TheWatchman_144 @gonefishin1948 @AutumnalisVelum The idea that Christ is unknown to the world if they do not read text on page is the saddest idea I have ever heard.
He is known and would be known to others even if the Bible never existed.
English

@gonefishin1948 @AutumnalisVelum No actually he gave us His Word to do that. You can’t know who He is through a ritual
English

@ColonialReich @AHomelyHouse Nigga shut up we're taking 2 hour naps at noon and there's nothing you can do to stop it.
English

@AHomelyHouse Protestant work ethic build the American and British empires. “Catholic work ethic” built Mexico and Brazil. There is nothing more to discuss.

@FuentesUpdates That's like asking someone with no medical experience what they would do if they woke up and had to give brain surgery tomorrow.
Nick is right to treat this question like a joke.
English

@PunishedNadja Larping is when you say something completely factual, apparently.
English

@PunishedNadja You're referring to the State. The nation still exists.
We are still here.
English

@DixiePropaganda It doesent! It got crushed eventually, like the slave owning shmucks deserved
