Labour MPs did and campaigned for Harris, we didn't hide it, but the difference is that they did so and it all came out of their pockets, and they made no speeches to sway people. They just went door to door, canvassing like the rest of the democratic volunteers. I see no problem with that.

Romeo will today set out how she sees her role as the head of the civil service, including as Sir Keir Starmer’s “principal policy adviser” and with an aim of rewriting the civil service code. The move will be seen as an expansion of Romeo’s authority amid reports that Darren Jones, who was brought in to No 10 last September to revive Starmer’s failing operation, was spending less time in Downing Street (h/t @GeorgeWParker). This isn’t an accident; it’s how a crooked political class looks after its own while the rest of us are put through the grinder.
