@MidwestGolfJake Have to say that I had a different experience. 1 month in 5iron sims has me hitting the ball like never before. 5 hcp. Valuable for long game, not much else though. The number of swings you make in a single session can’t hurt.

Other than staying somewhat in golf shape, indoor golf is worthless. None of what I was doing on Trackman has translated to outside golf. I don't regret playing indoors all winter but disappointed the goodness doesn't translate. Before anyone asks, yes I'm using RCT golf balls

@Top100Rick Most of the time it’s not even about the golf. I caddied at one of these clubs. There were some members who played once or twice a year, max. Fascinating.

Everyone is talking about the Dallas country club prices. Yes $250,000 is a lot. Yes $30,000 a year is a lot. But the crazy part? If you won Powerball tomorrow, you’d still never be able to join a bunch of them. Preston Trail, Dallas, Northwood, Brookhollow you better go find a member to marry if you want in.

@jamierkennedy You’re not paying for a cart and a caddie at the same time. And if you’re serious enough to book Pebble, you’re almost certainly bringing your own clubs. Why don’t you quote the real number and not the most expensive combo possible.

Reminder... From April this year, if you want to play Pebble Beach with a rental set and caddie, you're looking at $1,040 per person.

The 16th Hole at TPC Scottsdale. Is there a hole on earth that’s more different in person versus TV? What you see on TV is not what you will see in person. When the stands go down, it becomes a very normal desert hole. And when people pay $500+ based on what they see on TV, it can lead to some misgivings. Have you played TPC Scottsdale? If so let me know what you thought.
