CR expires and all parts of DHS other than ICE and BP enter a partial shutdown on February 14, 2026, with critical workers still working but not getting paid. On March 27, 2026, the Senate passed a modified version of the House March 5 bill by voice vote, which has now returned to the House for final, but stripping out ICE funding which House included in every prior package when passed by the House.
