I’ve EBF for 9 months, never used a nursing cover or left where I was to “nurse privately”. My baby is so good at latching I can literally feed him with one arm anywhere I am. I barely even have to bring a diaper bag out. I can just throw a diaper and pack of wipes in my purse and be good to go. This woman is totally delusional lol

@Annely922 @Bennieeexyz 3 year olds understand the words you use often. If "compose" is in your daily vocabulary, your child gets it The point is to do this over and over again until its predictable and they do understand. Source: my 2.5 year old who opts to take deep breaths when I piss him off

@Bennieeexyz 3 year old dont know the meaning of word “compose” and if he cant answer a question due to disregulation he wont understand instructions of sit-take a break-compose- talk.

So I was out to eat and this child(maybe 3 years old) in the booth next to us started crying loudly. The mom tried to calm him down but he started to go into tantrum mode and fussed even more. So she picked him up and walked out of the restaurant to a bench outside our window. We could hear her ask him, "look at me, what's upsetting you?" To which he responded with more crying. So she says, "Well you're clearly overwhelmed, so we're going to sit out here and take a break until you can compose yourself and tell me what's wrong." Which is exactly what happened after a couple minutes. Anyways I just think it's so good to speak to your children in a logical, respectful manner instead of shushing them and leaving them to deal with their stress alone.

My biggest fear is gaining too much weight when I’m pregnant I constantly see women saying they exercised multiple days a week and ate healthy and still gained 50+ lbs and it terrifies me Maybe that’s just vanity idk

Hi. Brittany here. Girl who’s been REAMED for letting her baby cry while she keeps up with chores. Baby was a lil clingy today, so I tried the whole “babywear-while-doing-chores” idea. Guys. I can’t reach the faucet without severely squishing my baby. The further I reach, the further up her back the counter presses in. Great idea, guys.

@dvb_eck Sleep- sched doesnt need to be too strict but yeah obv anyone who sleeps alot during the day wont sleep at night Eating- can vary daily, but yeah food should be offered often and its generally a good idea to know what they have eaten Behavior- yeah.. toddlers. thats their thing

My wife voluntarily babysat some kids (ages 1 and 2) yesterday for a full day and shared her experiences. Apparently, kids have a strict sleeping schedule, and you have to worry about them sleeping too much during the day or else they won’t sleep at night. You also need to precisely weigh everything they eat and drink to make sure it’s enough but not too much. And they will constantly find (dumb) reasons to cry all day long, so you’re walking on eggshells to prevent that and keep your peace. Is this normal?
