@yosoymario91 Got to experience this firsthand when we first traveled outside of Europe to Indonesia back in 2022. Piles of burning garbage in front of residences because that's just how they got rid of it. Plastic, paper, food? If it burns it goes on the pile.

I refuse to believe these are the real motivations behind such decisions. It's more likely that the Dutch friend simply isn’t interested in having children and frames it in more “virtuous” terms, and that the French friend just doesn't have a reason to fly.
