After a request from Masoud Pezeshkian, Azerbaijan sent 82 tons of “humanitarian aid” to Iran by large truck convoys. We’ve already seen Iran export drone factories to Russia. With active Russia–Azerbaijan–Iran transport corridors, shipments must be transparent. There’s always a risk these routes are used beyond “aid.”

The MEK (Mojahedin-e Khalq) is often presented in Western media and lobbying circles as a democratic opposition group fighting the Islamic Republic. However, the MEK is an authoritarian, cult-like organization that shares many core traits with the very regime it claims to oppose. In reality, the primary difference is that the MEK simply lost the power struggle following the 1979 revolution. During the 1970s and the 1979 revolution, the MEK was one of several armed groups fighting the Shah. They carried out guerrilla attacks, bombings, and street battles alongside the Islamists and leftists in the anti-Shah coalition. While the MEK initially supported Ayatollah Khomeini’s return in February 1979, the alliance collapsed almost immediately when it became clear Khomeini intended to consolidate absolute clerical rule for himself. By 1981, the MEK turned openly against the new Islamic Republic, sparking a violent power struggle. They launched high-profile bombings that killed senior regime figures along normal people, and the regime responded with mass executions, hanging thousands of MEK members and sympathizers. Today, the MEK is based in Albania. Independent reports from former members and investigative journalists describe a group defined by cult-like characteristics. All members wear identical military-style uniforms. Women are required to wear the hijab within the organization (even the public leader, Maryam Rajavi, always appears veiled). A strict hierarchy centers on Massoud Rajavi (missing since 2003) and his wife, Maryam Rajavi. Credible reports from defectors document mandatory ideological sessions, forced divorces, family separations, and the total suppression of personal freedom. While their official “10-point plan” for a future Iran promises gender equality and secular democracy, these freedoms do not exist within their own organization today. To Iranians, the MEK and the current Islamic Republic are two sides of the same authoritarian coin; both rooted in a rigid, top-down interpretation of political Islam. The regime simply won the post-revolutionary power grab, while the MEK lost. This is why, today, the Iranian people explicitly reject both the mullahs and the MEK. A real alternative exists in the movement led by Prince @PahlaviReza, which advocates for a transition to a secular democracy, pluralism, and freedom from both clerical rule and cult-like structures. #KingRezaPahlavi

People in Iran report NO SHORTAGE of food or other essential goods that would justify Tajikistan sending a “humanitarian” convoy. Given that the regime has drone manufacturing facilities in Tajikistan, Israel and U.S. should stop this convoy. @IDFFarsi
