@FrostedMntips The first part isn’t actually an aim mode, just a test pose I set up to exaggerate the parallax effect
English

@FrogmanDev Wait, so are their two distinct aiming modes??
What's the purpose of the first one?

@Swyrdsman We're using Unity's decals which are also a bit of a headache, I haven't done a ton of research on them yet though. There may be some tricks out there to make them behave better
English

@FrogmanDev Oh, are you using proper decals or just textured planes? I've been using Godot and its decals are so unstable and unreliable that I've considered an engine swap lmao
English

@Swyrdsman I feel the same so I hope so. In this instance I had them set to fade out super quick so I can dial-in their settings without the surfaces becoming too messy. Worst case they will still fade out but stick around for much longer
English

@FrogmanDev Been fuckin with decals in my own project, big respect.
Any hope of making it so decals don't all fade out, to make rooms remain a disaster zone after the player has passed through? I know it can be an optimization nightmare, but I love when games manage it
English

@oopsallsolace very similar, its heavily inspired by an Unreal mod called Infiltration
English

@FrogmanDev Pretty dope, is the aiming something like what Insurgency had?
English

@FrogmanDev this looks really good!! is the blood on the character drawn with vertex colors or some other way?
