@pokemantis @Khatspergers It's called a Boss for a reason? Have you not played a single RPG before? If I die to an enemy more than once i'll be like "avoid this area until better gear". That's like saying Skyrim sucks ass because dragons swoop in and kill you sometimes because you're unprepared

@Khatspergers I hate defending this lolcow but he brings up a good point that a lot of reviewers brought up. When you can easily destroy every minion you’re not incentivize to upgrade your equipment so when you go up against a boss it’s going to be a huge difficulty spike. It’s bad game design

After wasting 20 minutes slamming his head into a boss with nothing but starter gear, Phil concludes that Crimson Desert is not a good game and rage quits.

@TheNixUniverse @sevenblades I mean true, but then again he only really believed Nero is Vergil's kid when he saw Yamato reacting to him. He had suspicions of course. So it's safe to say the tough guy act in DMC3 is a way to cope with the depression and feeling alone until Lady tags along and gives him hope

@oopsallsolace @sevenblades So knowing that his brother had a kid somehow means that his family is still out there so he can kinda let loose and be like how he was in the beginning of Dmc3

Idk why y’all ALWAYS downplay how good DMC3’s story is. It’s downright insulting to be so smug about it

@sevenblades The other part is the writing itself, Lady in DMC3 HATES Dante until she realizes he's probably more human than the ones surrounding her, and quite literally gets to live another day because of him By DMC4 she's this leech who keeps the man in debt by using his tabs everywhere

@sevenblades It's so hard to explain to people that the DMC characters have depth, because DMC4 paints Dante as the wacky wahoo pizza guy while here he's this mysterious internally troubled guy who doesn't yet know about the emotional turmoil he's about to endure for decades to come

@WaterMuseum_ It's one of those things where I don't even notice in other games (quite a fair bit of PS1 games had these) but if my game had even one quad with invalid UV's i'd be pissed as hell that I missed it

My incredible 3D modeling skills have not gone unnoticed by the QA team

@CEOofKivotos0 @ShitpostRock2 This is my exact gripe with modern Resident Evil games. The originals set the tone with actual music or arrangements but the new ones try and set the tone with ambience. There really isn't a single OST from the new games I can recall or hum like the originals had

One is not enough -Cut Content -Censorship -gameplay downgrades -Removal of radio calls -Ada's voice actress -reduced humor -Saddler's character -Seperate ways being a paid DLC -Leon personality shift -iconic lines cut or changed -simplified puzzles -Krauser backstory changes

@ShitpostRock2 The OG is superior but i'd say the Remake is a solid game as well. I replayed it like 12 times since it's release But what the hell do you mean gameplay downgrades? Also Separate Ways was ONLY on PS2, so technically you had to buy the game again just to get it. 10$ > 60$

@Gossip_Goblin This has to be the best use for AI I've seen so far. It's an actually impressive topic with effort put into it

@HEALTHluvr You could make a nice looking volumetric fog with full translucency, moving with a voronoi noise and also spreading out and thinning out the further it gets from the point of leak

uh any blender people know how to do the blood moving in water in that manner i assume its a fluid sim but i could also see it being a transparent mesh with a cloth sim maybe

@SadButTrueDog02 There is a post-game completion file in RE6 where Leon talks about "wanting to end it all" with a quick bullet to the brain He couldn't bring himself to it because Sherry needed him and Claire both so they just locked the fuck in to protect her

@mecha_romancer The menu looked like this in the build. VERY primitive, but functional. There was a viewport display in the middle showing a note with the menu options written on it, but it's broken here for some reason

Quite surreal comparing what once was, with the current, more complete version This project opened my gateway into game development as this was basically my first project The progress here is something like 2-3 months, but it also reflects on the jank and the lack of quality
