@xndrshr @CostanzaGe14366 @b_talesz Friendship, dating, etc. if you know someone beyond a surface level it isn’t hard to tell which way they swing on the political pendulum.

@xndrshr @CostanzaGe14366 @b_talesz Does it ever occur to you that people in a relationship are aware of each other’s political standings? She knows where he is and she’s very likely right there with him

@FiniteKnoledge @Johnm1291 @hamptonism Satellites use RTGs which use Pu-238 mostly and are not safe. Ones I think you’re referring to are good for hearing aids and pacemakers

@Johnm1291 @hamptonism Actually it uses nickel 63, which beta decays into basic copper, making it basically harmless, it’s not entire useless either, it could be used for satellites and such but it’s very underpowered for our purposes and ideas. It’s also not really that new technology

@TFS_Rogue @ponderlest @hamptonism You would need about 10k of these batteries for a phone. You’ll be dealing with a hell of radioactive safety risk at that point

@ponderlest @hamptonism By optimizing shelf life to 50 years, they could scale up the theory (prolly not perfectly tho). While it is revolutionary for nanotech and small drones, it is a sign of breakthroughs possible for large scale battery reliability

@BlossomLord @ravener96 @hamptonism Do you ever think about how energy is converted to electricity from a reactor, or why they have feet of concrete and lead around them? If so let me know how you can make a safe to handle battery out of that

@nobodyhere23 @fra_boxthislap @F1REAKS Largely because with or without one you’ll still lose your teeth if your hit with a stick or a puck if it were to happen. Chances of it are low so players wager their luck

@Fuqueman @fra_boxthislap @F1REAKS Yet, football players wear mouthpieces & hockey players do it optionally. The creepiest thing is boxers wear mouthpieces, but some hockey players don’t.

@redanddead12345 @MagnoGetMoney No you can’t make one….unless you have an FFL or want to spend time in federal prison and never be able to own a firearm again…

@Fuqueman @TennesseanProud @OnDisasters I was in the logistics and maintainability section, we were building a lot of maintainability into the design, studying battle damage vectors to protect the internals while hardening the external surfaces. She would've been just as supportable as any other airframe.

@brieche52084083 @TennesseanProud @OnDisasters Didn’t it also have to do with the yf22 also just being more servicable? I’ve also heard the yf23 was just too fine tuned and intricate to easily maintained the aircraft.

@TennesseanProud @OnDisasters I worked briefly in a department on the YF-23 ATF project, and can vouch for it being much superior to YF-22, but you're correct that it was politics against Northrop & McDonnell Douglas that killed a great aircraft

@Civil_war_Law @SamTarvc @prinkasusa Wrong. Men have the power to wear condoms or not have sex. If you're too stupid to figure out condoms then maybe you should stop having sex until you figure it out.

@TheOnlyFronk @__iDio @Kekius_Sage The formula for special relativity causes an asymptote at light speed, either you don’t know what that means or somehow created a new formula that doesn’t have one.

@Fuqueman @__iDio @Kekius_Sage The energy becomes so high that we cant calculate how much it would require, but that doesnt mean it is mathematically impossible. We just dont know how much.

If light has no Mass... why can't it go faster than 299,792,458 m/s?

@TheOnlyFronk @__iDio @Kekius_Sage Based on the equation, you still can’t. Energy required becomes an asymptote as it approaches light speed.

@Fuqueman @__iDio @Kekius_Sage Sure it is. Add enough thrust to an object in space and it theoretically can reach light speed if the thrust is high enough to keep accelerating it. The problem is that the thrust required is infinite, so its only theoretically possible if you have infinite thrust.

@__iDio @Kekius_Sage Answer: We will never have a spacecraft that goes the speed of light or anything close to it. It is only theoretically possible in our made up constraints of physical reality. In reality there are hard physics limits to the simulation and no matter will ever move that fast.

@LordDanielGud @UnboundConman @afrocosmist I’ll give it to you, you’re right. And they expect to create nuclear plants to somewhat clean up their emissions. However don’t act like they don’t produce a wild amount of co2 (which they admit they’ll keep doing) or that it is somehow excused because of expansion and progress
