Don’t need a special session, just need 7 Senate Democrats to vote for the DHS funding bill that the House has already passed. If Democrats refuse, Republicans should nuke the filibuster to pass it on our own.

@SenThomTillis @biancoresearch LOL 🤡 You’re going to vote for Warsh ONLY because he’s promised to stop investigating fraud at the Federal Reserve, unless it’s by the IG, who’s simply a tool of Congress with very limited jurisdiction to issue subpoenas outside the immediate scope of the agency. Sounds legit.

I have been clear from the start: the U.S. Attorney’s Office criminal investigation into Chair Powell was a serious threat to the Fed’s independence, and it needed to end before I could support Kevin Warsh’s confirmation. I welcome the Inspector General's investigation. This is a necessary and appropriate measure, and I have confidence it will be conducted thoroughly and professionally.   I take the Department of Justice at its word: the investigation is closed, and any appeal of Judge Boasberg’s ruling will be with respect to legal principles and not for the purpose of reissuing subpoenas. Only a criminal referral from the inspector general would cause a reopening of the investigation.   With these assurances, I look forward to supporting Kevin Warsh’s confirmation. He is an outstanding nominee, and it is time for the Federal Reserve to move beyond this distraction and return its full attention to its mission.

It’s now been confirmed the shooter was trying to target Trump cabinet members. Just another reminder that your work life should be 100% separate from your private life. I always tell people it’s better to not broadcast where they will be online and I tell them not to post pics of their family members and kids online. Just think. How many Cole Tomas Allens are there out there planning the same thing. You make yourself a sitting duck when you combine your work life and private life. I’m totally against it for safety reasons.

I’m at a bar right now and Donald Trump’s press conference was playing on one of the TVs. The two leftist women beside me were VERY disappointed that Trump wasn’t killed and kept flicking off the TV while he was speaking. These people are insane.

The Federal judge who blocked the White House ballroom said they can only work on the parts required for White House security. I think we now have proof that the White House needs an entire ballroom completed for security reasons.

NOW: Heavy law enforcement activity in Torrance, California, following the White House Correspondents' Dinner shooting in DC. The suspected gunman was identified as Cole Allen, 31, of Torrance, California.
