This wasn't a few bad deals — it was the business model. One model described it as modern-day slavery. I would say this business is a blueprint for the Tate Brothers' business of owning and exploiting underage girls by trafficking them in the porn industry. Trump may as well have called the rest of us peasants. According to him, it wasn’t workers who built America. Contractors and their construction workers who Trump never paid built his buildings. Contractors went bankrupt because they paid their workers but Trump never paid Contractors even though he signed off on the work as being satisfactory and completed. Their lawsuits for payment were met with an avalanche of counter lawsuits driving Contractors into bankruptcy unable,to pay the necessary legal costs. To top it off, Trump maligned Contractors demanding payment by slandering and libeling them essentially destroying their reputation preventing new contracts. Trump is rightfully hated in the building trades. The same is true of vendors and suppliers. Trump doesn't pay his bills and countersues anyone who sues for payment into bankruptcy. Trump is a vile man who believes everyone should do work for him, supply his hotels and provide anything he wants without pay. Trump Organization should have a class action law suit by all the Contractors and companies he refused to pay or forced an agreement to accept 50% of contracted amount. Trump deserves the hate he earned in NYC and NJ.

Some thoughts on the new Epstein Files revelations: I’ve now read everything that’s come out from the new Haberman and Swan book, and the thing I keep coming back to is the Situation Room. They held multiple meetings in the Situation Room about the Epstein files. That room is for war. It’s for national security emergencies. It is not for figuring out how to spin a scandal you’re telling the country is a hoax. While the President was deflecting or calling this old news, his own Vice President and Chief of Staff were huddled in the most leak-proof room in America because they knew how bad it really was. You don’t take a nothingburger to the Situation Room. And I have to be honest, reading all this brings back a lot of frustration about what happened in the House of Representatives. I sat there and watched Mike Johnson send the House home early to dodge a vote on releasing these files. I watched him refuse to swear in a duly elected colleague for months just to stall the discharge petition. Month after month of excuses, arm twisting, and procedural games, all to keep this information from the public. We only got the files because survivors, families, and a handful of members in both parties simply refused to let it go. So when people ask me why I talk so much about transparency and accountability, this is why. The truth eventually comes out. It always does. The only question is whether your leaders helped reveal it or helped bury it. Everyone who voted to keep these files hidden should have to answer for that. Finally, notice what’s missing from all of this is any sign that Trump’s DOJ will actually investigate the powerful men named in these files. Draw your own conclusions about why a Justice Department run by the President’s former defense lawyers might not be eager to pull that thread.

I was just out front & an elderly woman out walking stopped to ask me if my dad still lived here. I had to tell her that no, he passed away a cpl yrs ago & that i lived here now. I introduced myself & thanked her for stopping to chat. She laughed & said i would prob be her only interaction today & possibly all week. That made me sad cuz as much as i hate people in general, we are losing our sense of community. Everyone's turning to online for their communities & i don't think that's a good thing.
